    I'M DONE!!!!

honestly this was starting to become my favorite place to eat but each visit  i had to overlook customer service.  but the last visit finished it!!!!

    1.  ordered fajitas to share with my son, so we ordered two plates of rice & beans.  why did one plate of rice & beans come out roughly 10 mins before the rest of the food?
    2.  the servers sees this "old" plate of rice and bean and does not offer to replace it when the food comes out.
    3.  food comes out burnt.  ok with fajitas its a give or take because i understand that the skillet they bring the food out on is hot but i ordered sauce on my fajitas and it was burnt as well!!!  it was crusty.
    4.  why are our drinks empty?
    5.  where is my waiter?
    6.  i ask for the manager........  she offers to remake the faijtas but i dont have time to wait.  i need to get home and put my child to sleep.  so she decides she will not charge me for the fajitas.
    7.  since i left my husband at home i also ordered him a plate to go.  i decided to check his order because the last time i ordered to go my order was wrong!  well i'll be damned its wrong AGAIN!!!  now i have to wait for them to make what i ordered!  my server now has the nerves to get a "tude" with me and was like "you ordered fajitas and i wrote down medium" and i'm like yeah i ordered fajitas and they are here burnt on the table, duh.  had i known i would have to wait for them to remake my plate to go i would have told them from the get go to remake the fajitas.  now i have been sitting at my table for roughly 1 hr and a half.
    6.  while im sitting on the patio waiting for my to go order some dudes start smoking.  every server that had a table on the patio saw them smoking and no one said anything!!!  am i the only person who saw the big no smoking sign on the door?  another customer had to go in to the manager and complain.
    7.  the manager comes out and says your to go plate will be out shortly and at this time i think they should eat the ticket!!!!!  but they refused!

The only think I don't like about this restaurant is the weird enormous statue of a woman with 6-pack abs, breast implants and little people arms holding up a bowl of fruit.  Otherwise, the place is nice!  Service and our food was good.  The steak in my chimichanga had nice flavor and the avocado salad was fresh.  My 4 year olds WANTED to eat the refried beans and yellow rice that came with their cheese quesadillas.  The only negative I'll say about the food is that the chips could be better.  Is it authentic Mexican food?  I have no idea, but we liked it and the bill for a family of four was $38.  When the Chili's opens up next store, we'll still come here.

This is a fairly new place and the first thing I noticed when we were seated was the booth seating was already torn and the walls already had writing on them.

After review the menu, I decided on the steak fajita enchiladas with their house spicy sauce.  Not a good choice at all.  First, it looked like it might be the salsa they give you for their chips after it has been reduced of all its liquid so it is just a red paste with pepper seeds.  Their salsa is a little on the hot side to begin with so when you reduce it and leave in all the seeds, it becomes inferno hot and very bitter.  I got through half of the first enchilada before I had to stop because I lost all taste in my mouth and all I could taste was bitterness and heat.  I ended up just breaking them apart and getting to the steak, which I ate with the very small portion of rice and beans that came with my plate.

As for the rest of my plate; the beans were bland the rice bland and somewhat crunchy and the garnish was a little on the brown side for my liking.  I also have to mention the chips and salsa.  The salsa was good, but hard to eat with all the warm broken crumbs that are provided as chips.

All in all this will probably be my last visit to Morelia Mexican Grill, I just have not had the greatest experiences with this place and it is pretty sad for a Mexican restaurant when the best thing on my plate was the refried beans.  It is just sad because I was really looking forward to the opening of this place because we needed a good Mexican restaurant in Pflugerville.  I guess I will have to wait for Chili's to open and continue to go to Taco Bell if this is going to be the competition.
