Ate lunch at Morrison Holiday Bar with 3 teenagers after a rafting trip. Â Service was indifferent at best and food mediocre.
There were just a few people drinking at the bar when we walked in. Â We were told to seat ourselves and then ignored by the barmaid. Â As far as we could tell, all the tables were dirty so we picked and cleaned up the best looking one and we went through to place our orders. Â The available selection was pretty decent and the prices looked reasonable. Â However, not everything we wanted was available and by the time we added all the extras and sides, the prices didn't look so good. Â Food was ready pretty quickly but the double large portion of fries we ordered seemed both undersized and undercooked and there was hair in the tater tots. Â Part of our order never came despite a reminder to the waiter but when I walked through to the cafe side, it was sitting on the counter. Â I pointed out that it was an appetizer and we were almost done with our meal and got a surly response about how it was not THAT late.
Suffice to say I will not darken their door again - and this is the first time I have ever been motivated to leave a bad report for a restaurant.
Well, this was bullshit. Sunday beer special listed as Batch19,$3. Sat down, asked if it was Batch 19 night. They said it was and we had four.
Comes the check, $18. Oh, what is this? Well, that is for a 12oz plastic cup, the special.
Thanks for telling me that- now.
Very deceiving.
You lost me as a customer.
Will not be back.
Went on a whim from a recommendation made by a friend and was not disappointed. The bar food was good and the ambiance was great. Good people in a beautiful area of the country. Do not miss it. Oh yeh...Adam the bartender made some great recommendations on what to see in the area (Red Rocks Park just up the road).
Review Source:This has always been one of my favorite places in Morrison. I used to work in this town so I found myself here often after business hours. It's just a great little neighborhood biker bar with friendly people. They will always make you welcome.
I hadn't visited in awhile until recently and see they've made a lot of great changes. There's a lot more space in the back, along with a huge covered patio with a fire pit that is the smoking section...if you really need to smoke. My sister does, that's why I know that. Ugh.
Anyway, the next time you're in Morrison, perhaps after hiking around Red Rocks, you should stop by and relax with a beer.
This is a nice, local place to hang out. I love coming here when I want to get out of "town," but don't want to venture too far from the city. The people that hang out there are pretty cool and nice, and the bikers frequent it. They have a back enclosed patio area with a fire pit which I love, also pool and darts! Cool, chill place.
Review Source:This is a pretty cool place in downtown Morrison. Â It seems like a locals joint with a number of bikers parading through as well. Â The bar has character, the bartenders provide good service, prices are good, and there's a patio in the back as well. Â They've got a few TVs showing sporting events, a stage for live music and they were having a poker tournament there while we were there to watch some football as well. Â Overall, a really cool spot I'd frequent more often if I lived in the area.
Review Source:We live in Evergreen and frequent Morrison quite a bit. Â This was our first time at the "MHB" and we enjoyed it. Â It was a little quiet the night we went, but all were friendly and accomodating. Â It was Karaoke night (I'm a singer) and everyone seemed to leave when it started. Â No one sang (not even me) so we just left. Â Hope this isn't how it is all the time during Karaoke, cause Karaoke can be so much fun!!
Review Source:If you like to find non-touristy bars in a touristy town, this is it! My friend always liked to go to the pretty famous Morrison Inn, which also has a nice patio, but one time they were closed for some reason. We wandered around and found this place. It is very local, one of those places where everyone, mostly cowboys, give you the once over when you come in, but after a couple of drinks everyone was really friendly. I would visit every couple of months and some of the bartenders and clientele would remember me. I smoke, so I especially like this place, as they have an enclosed patio with fireplaces and heaters, which is great in December in Colorado! Also, they had a really fun Halloween party, live bands on weekends too
Review Source:Having recently moved to the Morrison area I've had the pleasure of stopping by the Holiday Bar on a couple of occasions.  This place reminds me of any number of bars in Northern Minnesota where locals and people up from the city on vacation hang togather.  A very friendly, laid back  place to be.
Decent beer selection and no pretentions. Â Last time I was there we were invited to share a table with a bunch of bikers, who just happened to be Country Club members that were there drinking with the groundskeeper...good times.
MHB = Â 35% Bikers + 30% Cow Folk + 15% Tourists + 10% cheap drinks = 100% Good Times...
