Mountain Stage

I heart Mountain Stage!  It is a great place to hear singers and songwriters music of all styles.  I heard the Weepies this weekend along with three other great bands.  Keep posted on the web page for the latest shows and to get tickets for upcoming shows.  Cake is coming and is a sell out, and sadly I missed tickets.  The Cultural Center is a great and intimate venue so come on over.  Tickets are usually only $14.00.

So happy I'm the first to review this. For those that also listen to Mountain Stage on NPR, order some tickets and make the trip. It's one of the most unique and amazing experiences. For those that don't know, Mountain Stage is recorded live and broadcasted nationwide on NPR. Having listened for years, it was surreal seeing and listening to Larry Groce introduce the artists and having the applause sign light up as our cue to clap. It's a very intimate setting, one unlike anything I've experienced. I've seen the likes of Norah Jones, Ben Harper and Counting Crows in this one setting before they got major air play. Only downside is that it's live on Sunday nights.. that's OK I suppose if you live in Charleston. If not, then make the sick call the next day.  Don't worry, I keep secrets.  ~
