A no-frills, blue-collar local-hangout corner bar in, fittingly enough, a blue-collar neighborhood. Exactly three beers on tap: Coors Light, some other cheap mass-swill, and Guinness. Not my kind of place, but the people there -- most of whom seemed like regulars or at least knew each other -- were decent, friendly folk.

I can't imagine going all the way down to Hegewisch just to hang out at this place (I was in the area on other business), and I doubt many people do. I would sum this place up by saying it's Cheers, Hegewisch style -- a neighborhood bar by and for the people of Hegewisch.
