Meh. Food was just okay. Place is very small, and when I saw the very lengthy menu (sandwiches, entrees, Mexican, pizza) I as worried. And rightly so, it
We had sandwiches, pizza, and shepherd's pie. The pesto pizza was the bright spot. Sandwiches were a little bland. Shepherd's pie looked like chili with a pile of mashed potatoes on top, although it was tasty.
Service was slow. Took nearly two hours for our party of six to eat. Long time to get our bill and get out.
Best part was the beer selection.
Wife and I headed out to Mulleady's again this weekend for lunch. We had been before and weren't too impressed with the food but the place is fun and we would love to have a fun hang out spot like this to go to from time to time. First time we ordered the appetizer plate and while it was OK you could tell it was just from a bag in the freezer. NOT what we were expecting. This time we were going to get something scratch made and see how it was. I ordered the Tacos. I got one of each to really get a feel for the food. My wife order a Pastrami on Rye. Both were disgusting. I think we figured out that this place is a BAR that will throw a few Tots in the oven for you. Don't look any further down the menu than that.
The Shredded Beef taco was the worst thing I have ever put in my mouth. I almost threw up trying to explain it an hour later. It was a wet, soggy mess and was just the wrong texture/flavor for a taco. The corned beef taco was covered in mustard. Who puts mustard on a taco? I am allergic to mustard so I have no idea how that tasted. Wife loves mustard so she tried a bite. She spit it right back out. It was that bad. The chicken and other beef tacos were very dry and flavorless. I was very let down. Â Wife's sandwich was dripping with mustard and the meat was very dry. She could not eat that either. We ended up leaving and going somewhere else for lunch. The beers are great and the place is nice but DO NOT go here for the food. Service was very friendly and the crowd was very happy. It's a good little pub with very bad food!
Came in on a Saturday night. The bartender was polite. Place was somewhat empty for 10pm. There were what appeared to be regulars playing a dice game. The other bartender working was not the warmest, he didn't take my plate or offer to refill my drink while I was sitting at the bar. Older crowd mostly. The nachos were good and they have 32 oz beers which are cool.
I came here because of the high rating but maybe they wrote their reviews while still "feeling good" after a few drinks. While I'd come back, I prefer the friendly bartenders at Peppino's.
A tip to management would be to talk to everybody. Bar, booths, outdoors...everybody should say hi to the clientele.
Jukebox is pretty cool too. Great selection of songs.
Overall, not bad but nothing special.
