Nice try - NO dice.
This chain ripped off the original owners that where at the corner of Cicero and 103rd street - NOW that was amazing pizza.
But one day the lawyers and business guy/men came in and convince them to franchise and got screwed over and they eventuality closed.
I am not sure who owns these Nancy;s anymore - but the pizza is NOT even close to the original they try to rip off.
Sorry for the sad pizza story.
Nancy's is like a sub-par Giordano's. Â It's good but isn't so good that an out of town guest should be given directions to here. Â I'm not really sure what they are known for, as they offer both stuffed pizza and thin crust options. Â The stuffed is good, has nice flavor but doesn't meet my high expectations for a quality stuffed pizza. Â It has the same look as Giordano's but without the same effect. Â Lots of cheese, a decent amount of sauce on top and a thick crunchy crust. Â The thin crust is the much better choice in my opinion. Â Great flavor with plenty of cheese and a tastier crust.
Nancy's is worth a try for something different. Â I still get a craving once in a while for the thin crust, but nothing a phone call to Lou Malnati's doesn't take care of. Â Thank you city living. Â A final note, this place usually offers lots of coupons. Â I suggest checking online or anywhere else to save a few bucks and possibly get a free small/medium sized pizza with your order.
