OK, so I love the grocery part to this store, lots of vegan items to purchase in the refrigatored section and within the aisles. Â But, the produce is limited and over-priced. Â As for the the Zevia and other unusual items they are overpriced, Whole foods is cheaper on all leves. Â But, there is no Whole Foods in Peoria so I thank heaven there is a Naturally Yours in the neighborhood. Â
The service is so-so. Â If you order a sandwich expect to wait a LONG time. Â I only ordered a sandwich once and cringe at the thought of buying a made to order item here again. Â The people working here are all teenagers and it seems like some are hard-working/with-it types, but there was this girl making my sandwich chewing gum like a cow as she touched my food and she had some guy helping her make the sandwich and all they did was flirt. Â Her hair wasn't pulled back and I got the feeling they had some sort of inside joke about me or my sandwich which didn't make it all the more appetizing. Â Not once did she acknowledge me or tell me, "just a minute, we are making more ____ _______" Â to make me feel more comfortable standing there like a dope getting in the way of customer checking out. Â I don't think she even made eye contact with me the whole time, her eyes were locked on loverboy. Â I understand having a fun part-time job when your in H.S., but come on, hire some slightly professional kids who need a job not kids looking for just a social hang-out. Â At the least the sandwich was good when I finally got it. Â
The owner himself did seem nice and more happy to see customers than some of the other clerks and seemed like the type to be too nice to some of the more ungrateful workers.
I stopped in to do some shopping and was surprised by all the delicious food choices! Ordered a fallafel wrap with a cup of African sweet potato soup. Â Soup was insane andthe wrap was great too....took them to go. Takes some time to get your order so allow time! Def not fast food. You can tell they use fresh ingredients and u just feel healthy eating it.
Review Source:This neighborhood shop is like Fresh Market without the frou frou. I wouldn't say there is much in variety (except for the bulk items: holy varieites of granola!!) but there is a little of a lot of things. From curry sauces to ostrich meat to baby food to cat food to natural cleaning products, you can inch your way to healthier living just by coming in and grabbing something new each time. I love their vitamin section-the employees have great knowledge & opinions. I even got some probiotics for my puppy-son and they helped with that! I experimented with homeopathic meds for allergies (didn't seem to do anything) and also tried soy cheese for the first time here (must be an acquired taste!). Love their broccoli & sunflower seed salad and the fascinating varieties of granola bars.
I noticed the shopper appreciation punch cards on the counter the last time I checked out there so I grabbed one and asked to have it punched. It was cheerfully punched but I thought it odd that it wasn't offered or pointed out or even explained after I noticed it myself. And it's in a sea of other cards that are displayed at the checkout areas so look hard for it!
We were visiting from San Francisco Bay Area and I was delighted by Naturally  Yours- it had a wide variety of choice in everything we were looking for, including gluten free. We were grateful to find this lovely place to shop in  Peoria.  It isn't Whole Foods but it is Naturally Yours and that was Whole enough for us.
Review Source:Naturally Yours has a wide selection of vitamins and supplements, but you can also find local meats, breads and some organic produce there. There are also bulk items such as spices available. You can pick up a deli sandwich or soup while you are there as well.
I see another reviewer wrote about a customer appreciation program and wonder why I have never heard of it before?
As I'm driving around towns smaller than my home Chicago I never find it easy to find an organic grocery store or even restaurant. Â Searches on Google and Yelp don't do justice and unless someone writes the word ORGANIC or NATURAL these don't show up on Yelp either. Your Welcome future readers!
Naturally Yours has some of the greatest selection of organic foods I've seen anywhere, and they are open until 9PM (open at 9AM) Monday through Saturday- so it's convenient for business travelers like myself. Â Unfortunately the fruit is sometimes past ripe so you do need to be cognizant of what you choose. Â This is more of a grocery store than a produce store, but the grocery options are endless! Â
It's hard to believe that they've been in business since 1988, but the selection of the food makes this more believable as it probably takes time to make the connections with this many suppliers.
It's at the very end of the Metro Market which is hard to see from the street due to the huge parking lot that takes a couple minutes to drive through.
I am pretty loyal to this place and tend to visit when I come to Peoria.
Peoria's Health Food Market!
I always enjoy shopping here. Â The prices are fairly reasonable ... unfortunately, you won't find any lowed priced store brands but the selection of brands is wide. Â The employees are helpful and knowledgable!
I like the customer appreciation program where I get a small discount coupon whenever I spend $100 ... Plus, if you look in the mailer their are always coupons ... ooo and I almost forgot about the store newletter/flyer that has a gang of info and more coupons!!!
This is a great little natural food store. I have been shopping here for the past 4 years that I've lived in Peoria. I like to support local businesses when I can and they do offer a good selection. If you need gluten-free foods, this is the place for you. If you want a huge variety of tea, this is the place for you. If you are looking for a supplement of some kind, this is the place for you!
This is also the only place in town that offers Fage yogurt w/ the honey or strawberry on the side. I also love that they have a little cafe behind the cash register. You can get sandwhiches, smoothies, etc. It is a litle expensive here, but if you come just for a couple items, it's not too bad.
