The special last night was Chicago Style Pizza.  Chef Tony B. cooks it in an iron skillet like you would in Grandma's cupboard.  I think it's something that can make the cup.  Not standard traditional Chicago but thick and meaty.    And they have Abita Andy Gator in bottles.   Purely awesome!

This is the "new" location for Neil's Bar.  The old location on Madison in Midtown burned and had to be destroyed.  A lot of people, myself included, where surprised that the new Neil's would be in this area.  I wondered if they would be able to survive so far removed from midtown where they had a loyal group of patrons. As it turns out, they are doing just fine!

I stopped in on a Thursday night.  The band was great and the drinks were cheap.  The crowd was the same!  It's not as dirty or smoky as the old Neil's but somehow, it still feels like Neil's.

Same great Neil's, new location.  After a fire at their midtown location, Neil's recently relocated to Quince/Yorkshire area shopping center.  The bar is a great size for large parties, and has somehow retained the same feeling as the old bar, with a divide between the bar area, and the dining tables and pool tables.  The old shuffleboard table (while singed in the fire) is still usable and displayed in the front window.

The menu is unchanged, with old favorites like fried mushrooms with horseradish sauce, and burgers, steaks, and grilled chicken sandwiches with mediocre fries.
It is a 21-and-up bar with smoking, though families are allowed during Sunday brunch.

A jukebox provides great music options and keeps things moving.  Several flat screen televisions show different games, and keep bar patrons happy.  Ample parking in lot shared by Las Delicias and MemFish.
