New Ya Ting

So we got a mailer from these guys.  I thought that the extensive menu looked good, the prices seemed decent, and the promise of free delivery kind of sealed the deal.  At least I thought it did.

We tried to order online, but their website gave me an error message every time I tried.  So that's out the window.  We called in our order instead, and being relatively reasonable people, expected that it might take a while, since there's an inch of snow on the ground.  I guess the first clue should have been when the lady taking the order told my wife that "it might take a while, because our driver is not very good."

So a little over an hour goes by, and nothing.  My wife calls them, and the lady on the phone says "he'll be there in 5 minutes."  So 45 minutes later, my wife calls back and offers directions to the lady on the phone.  She tells my wife, "he'll be there in two minutes," and then hangs up on my wife.  I'm writing this review about 20 minutes later-it's now been over two hours, and no sign of our food yet.

I'd love to review the food, but since I doubt I'll ever see any at this rate, this review pertains to the service we've received so far.  Looks like the mailer is going in the trash, and we'll be finding somewhere else to eat Asian food.

I was a regular customer, placed my third order this month tonight and have probably ordered from them more than twenty times.  The food is always good but has lost quality lately.

Tonight the driver arrived at my apartment complex in about forty minutes which was good because it was snowing.  Upon arrival the driver called for instructions and I told him what the door code was and that the parking garage was open and that he could drive up.  He hangs up and after ten minutes calls back and says, "what do you want me to do?", I reply I would like you to deliver the food to my door and that I had a good tip for him.  I ended up not having dinner as my food was never delivered.

There are far better places with far better service.

Wow- I only leaves reviews if a restaurant is great or awful.  

Sorry to say, but this is some of the worst Chinese food I've ever had.
