The first thing you notice when you walk into this place is the stack of pizza boxes on the counter and along the side. Â Then you notice all the stuff that normally should be in the back room is stored in the dining area. Â It was a turn off from the start. Â Ordered pizza and wings lunch special. Â This is one of those places that make the cheese pizza ahead and when someone wants a slice with toppings, they just pop the toppings on the cheese pizza and heat it up. Â Well the pizza came with almost raw mushrooms on top of a brown spotted slice of cheese pizza. Â No extra cheese to help mend the mushrooms to the pizza. Â The wings were nice and crispy. Â So, plus one star for the wings.
Review Source:I arrived home from work one day to see Aliesha's flyer on my door. Â I put it aside and didn't think much of it and went about my routine. Â This evening on my way home, I was craving pizza. Â I don't eat that much junk food, but figured I'd give in to temptation. Â However, the one place that I knew was near my place in the Buckley & Mississippi area is awful and I didn't want to go there. Â As I was cruising down Buckley, the big lit up slice of pizza in the strip mall caught my attention. Â I parked and started walking toward the door and thought to myself, "Hey! Â I remember getting their flyer! Â I didn't realize this place was so close!"
When I walked in, it smelled awesome. Â The kids behind the counter were very friendly and patient as I checked out the menu. Â I ended up ordering a calzone with pepperoni, Italian sausage, mushrooms and artichoke hearts. Â I was also happy that they had Coke (I hate Pepsi, but they also offer Pepsi if that is your preference). I sat down and started fiddling with my cell phone while I waited. Â About 10 minutes later, one of the kids from behind the counter came up to me and told me that they just finished making my calzone and that it was going into the oven. Â I was a bit puzzled as to why it took 10 minutes to just put the thing together when I was the only one in the place waiting for food, but I wasn't in a hurry so I continued to fiddle with my phone and waited.
The atmosphere was somewhat cluttered, confusing and disorganized. Â The TV was blaring and there was loud music playing at the same time. Â To be honest, the clash of the TV and the music was pretty annoying. Â There were stacks of pizza boxes and bulk packages of dry ingredients cluttering up the back of the restaurant. Â The entire counter area and menu above the counter was covered in hand written and printed signs with specials and additions to the menu. Â With a little cleanup, organization and consolidation of the menu so it's not scattered around the restaurant and it would look a little more professional. Â Also, if they'd turn the music down a tad bit and mute the TV, or, kill the music and leave the TV on, it wouldn't be a mind boggling to sit in there and hang out. Â I was going to just sit there and eat, but by the time I was asked if this was for here or to-go, I chose to take it home instead of hang out.
With the atmosphere and clutter aside, I snapped a few photos, my food was up and I went along my merry way. Â I got home and opened the box to see a HUGE calzone COVERED in half melted parmesean cheese. Â As I dug in, the chunks of parmesean were falling all over the place as I ate. Â Beyond the mess, it tasted pretty darn good! Â It wasn't very greasy, it was baked just right, not too well and not under done. Â The flavors were good and I enjoyed it. Â I am glad they taped a delivery menu to the box. Â I am holding on to it for the next lazy night I feel like kicking back and ordering pizza.
Friendly staff, great menu selection with lots of options, tasty food, overall it's not bad. Â I enjoyed the meal.
