Rainbow Asian Grill

In have enjoyed the Rainbow from the time I was very young. It's decent Americanized Chinese (and other Asian) food. Nothing fancy, but comforting.

The egg drop soup is good, no random vegetables or tofu here. Not that I mind random veggies or tofu, I just don't appreciate them in egg drop soup. Their egg drop soup is great when you have a cold. I like the chicken chow mein. The pork fried rice is good. Lo mein is good here, too.

It's a basic Chinese restaurant. I like it. It's clean. The staff is very friendly and remembers you.

One note, they had a fire in the kitchen recently, so The Rainbow is closed for repairs right now. I hope it opens again soon.

Horrendous. I got the worst food poisoning of my life eating here and was hospitalized for a couple of hours (this was in early '08). My girlfriend, who ate a different course here was also sick within 1 hour of eating. I called the restaurant to let them know and also contacted Denver & Aurora health inspection to get this place on their list to check in the near future.

Ah, Rainbow grill. Priced just fine, and the closest restaurant to my house. Why must it be that you don't work for me? I've been there three times. Its never busy but is well decorated and very clean. The first time there, it was very good. Not the most amazing Chinese food ever but certainly good.

I get Chicken Lo Mein whenever I get Chinese. Kinda my thing. The second time I went there, it tasted very fishy. I don't like the taste of fish if it isn't fish. They must not have cleaned out the wok. Going there my third and last time, I told them about the fishy taste in the food and asked that they be sure it doesn't happen again. It did. I couldn't eat the meal (got it to go), had to microwave something :(

My girlfriend considers the food ok which put this at a 3 but the fish thing has to drag it down some.
