If I could give Bill and Jim Tobin and NCWC 20 stars, I would.

The place rocks, cool patio, intimate bar, best prices in town and great selection. The outdoor patio is awesome-they have a BBQ and you can bring meat to grill while you drink. OHHHH and they are doing Sake now!!! WOOOO HOOOOO!!!Their champagne selection is also really great.

For me, its about Jim and Bill. Not only do these guys have the technical chops to run a wine shop, but they are just plain fun, cool and nice. I love sitting and chatting at the bar and everytime I go in, everyone else is SUPER nice. This is the most unsnooty wine bar ever. No pretense here, just fun people, great owners and GREAT wine.

Different nights offer different tastings and prices, but the best is Fridays. Just go. you wont regret it.

The store had a great wine selection. Owner Bill was very informative and friendly. This was an overall unique experience in San Marcos.

Must have driven past this place over a million times.  Each time I passed it thinking, "I need to try that place one day".  Well I finally did and love it!  Such a hidden gem!  You will notice from all the reviews the owners are dope!  Look up dope if you need a definition.  Jim and Bill know a ton of crap about wine, and other useless information.    

The bar area is real small so go early if they are holding a event.  They do have a nice size outdoor patio area.  I hear the owners try all the wines they serve and sell.  So you can expect to get a great glass or bottle.  

If you are expecting to find a new Gaslamp or Carlsbad type wine bar, you wont find it here. What you will find is a great wine bar that offers outstanding wines, and service.
