Oakdale Theatre

I had a very good experience here.  I attended a Gary Allen show in March, and was assaulted by another patron.  I was upset that she wasn't immediately removed, so after the show I went to speak to the general manager.  He apologized for the incident and offered me tickets to any upcoming show.  I picked Hunter Hayes.  This show was very popular and sold out.  With no seats left to give me, the manager put me and my guest, my 10 year old son, in a VIP suite.  The suite was awesome, and we had waitress service at our seats.  The manger went out of his way to make sure we had a great time to make up for the bad experience I had due to that unruly guest.  I would definitely go back there again and would recommend this theatre to everyone.

Saw ZZ TOP for the 2nd time at the Oakdale (last time was in 2005).  Very good sight lines, I prefer coming to the Oakdale rather then larger venues.  The seats could be a bit more spacious, but I am a large guy also.  Just be careful when someone cuts through with a draft beer in your aisle -- they fill the beverages right to the top and my right leg was drenched in beer from the women sitting next me.

Also, don't bother to pay 10 to 20 bucks for "Premier Parking" -- it's not worth it.  We parked in the furthest lot away from the gate and we were still able to get out in 5 to 10 minutes at the end of the show.

I attend a few concerts here annually with my brother, and never really have any complaints. There really isn't a bad seat in the house. Concerts in The Dome are pretty much the best thing they have ever thought of. (Although it's probably due to poor ticket sales)

The only real downfall is the price of food/beverages. Then again, it's expected at any venue like this. It always pays off to tailgate!
