Came for dinner with my boyfriend last night. Â I loved it.
We split a bottle of Malbec. Â Love the wine rack right as you walk into the dining area. Â There was no wait, but we came in after 8pm. Â
Had the cheese board to start. Â So good. Wish there were more crackers to go with it though.
I had the hangar steak which was with peppers and onions on top of mashed potatoes and surrounded in a pool of deliciousness, some sort of herbed oil broth and my man had the strip steak.
Both were awesome. Â Can't wait to go back except for the upholstery on the booths, the pattern is dizzying and can give a headache!
I was a little nervous going since I'd read some unfavorable reviews, mostly based on value for $$ and service. Â But since everyone has different tastes and opinions, I figured I should try it for myself. Â
We ordered a cheese board to start which was for the most part pretty tasty. (Again, personal preferences factor in). Â The entrees we ordered were chicken with spaghetti squash, hanger steak, short ribs and papperdelle "primavera". Â With the exception of the pasta being undercooked, we were all very pleased with all our dishes. Â The person with the undercooked pasta did not want to trouble anyone and did not speak up to the waitress. Â We ended the meal with the chocolate molten cake/hazelnut gelato and friend bananas. Heavenly. Counting in the tip, bottle of wine, two glasses of wine and a beer, our meal came to approximately $240 for 4 people. Â So yes, it's a bit on the spendy side, but worth it for an occasional treat.
I would heartily have to disagree with many people on Yelp that thought the service sub-par. Â Our service was excellent while in the restaurant and even the following business day when we needed to call back for a problem, Jason was wonderful and fast at helping us.
