We are new to the area and discovered this place quickly was "our" favorite hang out. My husband and I love to sit at the bar and watch football and baseball on the many many TV's throughout the place. They have such a variety on their menu. We usually eat wings when we sit at the bar. They honestly have the BEST wings we have ever had. And by far THE BEST FRENCH FRIES. Huge steak-cut fries. We  sit in the dining room we we bring our kids. They are sports finatics as well so they love coming here. Sad to admit but we usually eat dinner at least 2 times a week there. The food and level of service are consistant every time. Keep up the great work Olde Towne!
Review Source:I met up with some folks here. Family of someone I was traveling with.
Fine by me. The place is pretty nice, TVs EVERYWHERE. You will find the sport you want to watch on the TVs from any angle.
As the name suggests its a Tavern and Grill. (no e for me please. This place is oldie townie tavern and grillie as far as I'm concerned.) Very much geared toward the bar food/sports bar atmosphere. It's not overwhelming though.
If you've been to taco mac, think of this place as.. a bit of an upscale version. The food seems to be a bit more diverse, the TVs and fittings higher quality, the music a bit quieter, but still the same "scene" if that makes sense.
So, I only gave it 3 stars, and I haven't gotten to why yet huh? Well, I eat out for the food.. and at least for me it just didn't measure up to 4 or 5 stars. The atmosphere is nice, it's a great place to hang out and socialize, a great place to watch a game or hang out with friends, but when it comes to the utilitarian part of it.. eating dinner.. the food is tough, and kind of expensive for what you get.
I got the chicken strips. They were nearly inedible because of how tough they were. Someone must have really stressed those chickens out. Ya know it's the kind of meat you can't even cut with a knife it's so tough. So dinner was mostly french fries.
I had a good time anyway, but if I go back, I won't be getting the chicken strips. (I would be willing to go back though, and I recommend you give it a try.)
I used to love going here for wings, but now that they've raised the wing prices I will be getting my wing fix elsewhere. The new prices for wings are outrageous. 12 wings for $15. 24 wings for $28? The meat itself costs $2/lb and I think from the size of Olde Towne wings that 12 wings is less than a pound. I could get a steak at a chain restaurant for that price. The wings are good, but not that good!
