Only 1 star because zero Is not an option (consider changing this yelp). Went here with a friend and her 6 year old daughter during our February school vacation. My recommendation is to keep on driving right past this place!

The service was HORRIBLE. We waited to order - finally the waitress arrived (not friendly either) and we ordered 2 glasses of wine which would be our only glasses as she NEVER came back to ask if we'd like another. We asked for some bread that never came (she said "no problem") I guess no problem was code for not happening.

The food was criminal. My friend's daughter got the hot dog - which they must have screwed up b/c what kid doesn't like a hot dog. She ate maybe half.

I had the buffalo chicken wrap and sweet potato fries - could have had the same thing for less money at a chain restaurant. My friend got the boneless buffalo tenders which she couldn't choke down.

At the end of our meal the presumptuous waitress brought my friend a to - go container but not me (even though I had half a sandwich left). I honestly had zero intention of eating it but made her get me a to-go container too just to prove a point.

$70 later we leave wishing we had stayed in, and the poor six year old had a bad belly.

As we were waiting to pay our tab we heard the gentleman at the table behind us complaining to the manager about the same sort of things. The manager made excuses for the waitress saying she gave her too many tables (really? ) and then offered to pay the man's tab (he was insulted - said he could pay, but wanted her to know the staff was horrible).

Keep driving - it's the Cape and there are plenty of other options - even in the off season.

This is a spot we go to when all else fails.  The service in the tavern is attentive and friendly.  The food is okay, drinks are good.

Today, my dad, my sister, her fiance, and I went to Oliver's.

We ate in the dining room over the Planck's Tavern option. The corner booth we were given was clean and spacious, as well as well set. Since it was my dad's birthday lunch the cost was not an issue.

The waitress brought us the water, rolls, and menu, promptly along with with chowder that accompanied the meals, which was very good. (As a Cape native I would swear it was Captain Parker's chowder which has been sold commercially.)

The menu was large and the prices were assumed to reflect the quality of the food. My father ordered the Fried Seafood Platter, my sister and I ordered the Broiled Seafood Platter, and her fiance modestly ordered the Chicken Fajita. We soon found out that his modest decision was the wisest of them all.

He received the only plate that was worth eating let alone looking at.. The broiled plates that we received in the pretense of a seafood platter could only be considered less than impressive at the $20 price tag. Not only were they meager the arrangement of the so called 'platter' was apparently an afterthought since it looked like an assortment of cheap buffet sides. The broiled plates were a mess all over in the sense that the the stuffed shrimp were rubber and stuffed with a stuffing amalgam, the haddock was cooked to shoe leather status with the same funny breading as a topping,  and the scallops were the covered in the same dame stuff too. A solid waster of $40.

The Fried Platter my dad received was was large, but the presentation could only be considered amateur at best. The fish fillet was broken into five pieces and laid over his platter. Now I am not sure who expects a broken piece of fish but a five piece crumble was something else because of the Bisquik-like batter. Under that were a few assorted greasy pieces of whole belly clams and fried scallops with the same very poor batter.

Maybe he was being polite but my sister's fiance had no complaints with his wrap.

Maybe get a burger, but I would recommend going somewhere else.
