Good Mexican food, especially the chips, queso and salsa. Top noch. Decent beer selection, wish they had more options on tap. Can get pretty loud in there, like on a Friday night. One of the only places I can go, order one burrito and have it be more than enough for me. Right off of Rockville Road in Avon. On The Border is good stuff.
Review Source:We've been here a couple of times. We always come back for the margaritas! Ha. The food is pretty delicious though. I've only sampled a few things from their menu but from what i've tasted they get an extra star. Everything from their appetizers to the entrees tasted great and left me satisfied. You must try the Dos Equis Fish Tacos. They are delicious if you like fish.
Review Source:I don't know why they took the build your own burrito off the menu but trust me if you ask for it you can still get it, or build your own chimichanga for that matter. Â I don't eat meat, I've never liked their shrimp and since they lack a bean burrito anywhere on the menu its really my only option. Â That said, when I do special order a burrito or chimichanga its always AWESOME! Â I love this place. Â I always have. Â And the salsa that comes with the free chips is so freaking cilantro rich and tasty. Â P.S. Not all On the Borders are the same, I've eaten at two other locations, one in Indy and one in Massachusetts... both of which blew. Â This one is golden!

 I am a big fan of guacamole and feel it really makes or breaks a mexican restaurant!  The guacamole is excellent at On the Border.  You can even order it as an appetizer and they will come to your table and make it "Live" for you.  You get to watch the process and eat the amazing results!  Their salsa is also wonderful.  Not to spicy or sweet, just right.  They have consistently quick and good service.
 I also like their "Build your own Burrito" card.  You get to check off ingredients on a list and create your own burrito, just the way you like it!  It's great for those picky eaters who know exactly what they do and do not want!  This is a great Mexican choice if you are in Avon!
Yeah, it's a chain. Â Still, probably my favorite chain Mexican Restaurant. Â They have always supplied lots of chips and salsa (which is a pet peeve of mine when places are conservative with them). Â The food is delicious and not crazy priced. Â
This is good for dates or large family gatherings. Â There is also a patio for nice days. Â All in all, this place tops Don Pablo's and Chi Chi's in my opinion.
I love on the Border! Â The food is good but that is not why I love on the border. Â The bartenders are great. Â They are friendly, laid back and you can tell that they enjoy their jobs. Â I visited this location today after being a way for a while. Â The bartender knew what I normally drank and ate. Â Now THAT is service. Â He then asked me where had I been. Â I just felt special.
Oh!! They also let me order the kids chicken enchilada...shhh its not even on the menu :-)
