I was expecting something affordable after The Harbor was closed. Sadly, I was disappointed.
The food is standard bar food with not much seafood that The Harbor was known regionally for. If you come here looking for fish, they have that. However, it will probably not be what you're looking for.
The beers here are great. Lots of variety on the taps. They easily have the best variety in the PLX. But good luck finding a beer under $4. Bars in the PLX are known for being really inexpensive, but On Tap is the exception.
I feel like they have more waitresses than needed at once. I guess that's both good and bad.
The patio is where it's at. It has a Key West/Margaritaville feel to it, but it still pales in comparison to The Upper Deck.
After a few trips here, I now know to go elsewhere.
It's great this location has risen from the dead after the sinking of "The Harbor." The Portage Lakes always needs more restuarants/bars ON the lake. Service was slow, bu they did just open a couple weeks ago, so I'm assuming the service will pick up. Unlike The Harbor, ON TAP does have a happy hour and a pretty good one as well. Additionally, unlike The Harbor, ON TAP has plenty of draft beer for patio patrons. Definitely a fun environment that will hopefully last at this location on the lake.
