So, I decided to come here on my lunch break. Â I didn't call ahead an order because I wanted to wait and see what looked good. Â Usually, there's a few customers, but little wait time. Â Today, there were about 7 people inside (no seats mind you), and random shouts and yelling taking place. Â It made me really uncomfortable and it was very hot inside...i had to just leave. Â Maybe I'll go back someday when school's back in session. Â Otherwise, it's tough how ghetto it gets.
Review Source:Well, we were down in this neck of the woods for Chicago Cares. I can't say I'm too familiar...but we saw this place and made a beeline at lunch.
Imagine 8 kickballers (in our t-shirts) wandering into this place...we were awe struck by the number of menu items. Literally menus on each and every wall...plastered with items and combos and different ways of prepping.
However, not a table in the place. Not sure where people sit!
They also sell grillz. Which I'd never seen before.
The food was DAMN good and greasy. We sampled fried okra and mushrooms, fried chicken, polish hot dogs, the philly chicken (the biggest sammie I ever saw in my life!), gyros and beefsteak.
Seriously, it hit the spot. The guys were friendly, too. I didn't partake in any of the grillz, but I thought it to be an interesting offering at a food shop! I enjoyed the experience.
