Love this place service is excellent. However Sunday brunch for Father's Day was not worth $50 per person. It was worth the usual $25 per person.  So disappointed :(

The Partridge Inn is known for being somewhat of a historical building in Augusta, GA. Thus, if you're not into the "historically significant" sentiment and would prefer a more modern hotel with modern accommodations, then this is not the place for you. This review is specific to a party attended at the P.I. Bar and Grill. Unfortunately, this review comes a couple months after the event. Fortunately, a recent visit helped me remember the good and bad of this particular venue.

Setting: The Partridge Inn is located off a main street. The turn-about where you normally drop off guests or get picked up by a taxi is narrow and dangerous for those in walkers or wheelchairs. Once you get up the stairs and through the front door, walk straight to the elevators. Given that there are only 5 floors, you'd expect a relatively quick response time. Expect to wait up to a minute for those doors to open. The Bar and Grill is on the second floor. The elevator doors open and you're greeted by a well-decorated table (varies with season) and the front table to your right. The tables are well-spaced allowing for some sense of privacy. Windows are bountiful allowing in natural light which makes the room look bigger than it actually is. We were located in a private room off to the right. There were only 4 tables which allowed for a lot of walking/standing. Drinks over to the right with food on the left. No decorations on the tables themselves. individual grade: 2 stars

Waiters: The service is pretty quick. You're always greeted with a "ma'am" or a "sir." Makes me feel old sometimes. Glasses are quickly refilled and plates are quickly cleared once. Since it was buffet style, waiters routinely checked the food levels, making sure that bowls/plates never looked too empty. Individual grade: 4 stars

Food: There was a mix of many different types of finger foods
    - Stick with cheese, dried tomatoes, fresh tomatoes, other stuff - Okay. A little salty. Seemed like it was doused in olive oil. Not my favorite
    - Cheese, fruit, cookie plate - Cookie? That just seemed out of place. Couldn't tell if it was cinnamon or sugar. The fruit wasn't as ripe as I would have liked. The cheese was good. Some of it (swiss) was a bit dry.
    - Chicken fingers - a little bit dry. The good thing was that they sparingly used the breading. On the other hand, the chicken was a bit dry. Came with an "asian" sweet and spicy sauce.
There were others. i just don't remember them. Individual Grade: 2 stars

Drinks: Beer, wine, and soda. Bottled or canned. Individual Grade: N/A

Recommendation: If you're invited to a hosted party, I would go. However, if I were hosting myself, I may choose somewhere else.
