Fan of their Fajita's and local beer Ten Penny Ale....wife likes Margarita's and Monday they offer great deal on Margarita's.
It's a casual atmosphere, so if looking for fine-dining Tex-Mex, don't look here but if looking for reasonably priced, this is your place.
4-6 pm Happy Hour specials also great but wished time extended to 7pm
Service was fast and very friendly. However the food was pretty bad. My boyfriend and I got the meal for two and considering it came out five minutes after ordering I believe most of it was microwaved. The tacos at Taco Bell are even better then there's, the burritos were very dry, the chicken was almost crunchy. I loved this place about ten years ago and was psyched to have it again now that I'm back in the area but I don't think I will ever eat here again. It's a bummer that they've let this place slide.
Review Source:This place was disgusting. The booths were dirty. The waitress was friendly but not very attentive. My boyfriend's burger was obviously cooked in a microwaved and it was so overcooked he couldn't eat it. When he mentioned it to the waitress, she did nothing. My taco salad was edible at best. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Spend the extra 5 minutes and drive to Plaza Azteca in Manchester. It's amazing.
Review Source:Like try new thanks. Love Mexican food. Almost my favorite. Restaurants perry you need. Food good. Love go der. Why like damn a lot. How they make the food. And good to eat. Music play. Service good. Will the care of you. Not log weit four food 15 minutes. They get busy all the time. Clean and Organize. Always good going der. And Recommended old people.
Review Source:Service from Brittany was amazing, but otherwise this place is crappy. Soft shell pork tacos tasted like cafeteria food. Wings slathered in a corn-syrupy sauce. The patio is walled in by a high wooden fence, giving it the feeling of a prison yard. Inside isn't much better. You'd have to be loco to love this place.
Review Source:Pacho Loco!!!! Let's go Margaritas on the patio!!
This little privately-owned Mexican eatery is a great spot when you find yourself up in the hills of Vernon / Rockville. Small, but charming, Pancho Loco boasts a GREAT patio, as well as daily drink/food specials.
Jeff and I come here a lot, Margarita Mondays' is one of our favorites. The drinks are tasty, decently priced, and do the trick. I really loved my Pina Colada, even though I was pretty sure it came from some sort of mix. ( Sometimes cheap can't be beat!)
The lunch specials are really where the deal is. They offer a build your own plate with 1, 2, or 3 of their signature items, ( tacos, burritos, ect.) or regular entree specials that look like a regular dinner portion.
Although we have never had room to try, they show fried ice cream on the menu, and that looks like a must have!!!
Ciao!!
I would just like to say...... Pancho Loco is awesome! My fiance and I eat here often and I pick up lunch on my own as well. Â The salsa is great and you can have it served in either Mild OR Spicy. Â For an appetizer we usually get the 'Daves Wings' or the 'Jerk Wings'. Â Both are very tasty! Â If you haven't tried their Santa Fe Trail BBQ Burrito, I would highly recommend that! Â AND OF COURSE....... Their Margaritas are the best around and by no means weak!!! They don't seem to hold back when they're pouring in the Tequila!!! Â I don't want to forget desert now, they have some pretty good fried ice cream, which you really don't find in too many restaurants! Â If you haven't tried Panchos before, give it a shot!!!
Review Source:I have to de-rate this place for a few reasons:
1) Drink prices have gone up, again. Â Consume with caution, as the sticker shock will get you at the end: Â
 16oz non-alcoholic margarita =$5.50
 16oz house margarita =$7.00
 16oz Bret's special (Herrendura) margarita =$9.75
The drinks are strong, but honestly I'd prefer them weaker and cheaper.
2) The menu hasn't been updated in a decade, and the cooks are comfortable to the point that serving oily slop is acceptable. Â Fajita vegetables are oil-soaked and charred. Â Everything off the grill is oily. Â Come to think of it, the whole place is looking greasy.
3) There are zero healthy options here. Â Even the taco salad is in a fried tortilla, covered with cheese. Â Take out the bad stuff, and you're left with a bowl of lettuce with black olives.
The hubster and I love this place, and we definitely don't go enough since moving away from the area.
First, the salsa fresca is amazing, and they make their own chips. Â Really, this is the main thing that draws me back here. Â Yes, it's mild. Â It's salsa FRESCA. Â It's not one of those crappy ketchup + spices concoctions. Â If you're not into salsa fresca, well...more for me, then. Â You lose.
If you want spicy, try their mole. Â According to the husband, it's outstanding. Â And HOT. Â A little goes a long way. Â Ask for it on the side and taste it first before applying to your meal, just to be safe.
Service is always friendly, informative, and quick. Â We've never had any problem in this area. Â Prices are quite reasonable.
Yeah, the decor is kind of gross and they could use some help here. Â But sometimes dive bars have the best food, and this place is definitely worth a visit.
Went here one Monday for Margarita Mondays. Â The margarita, I must say, was quite strong and very delicious. Â Well worth the $4 it cost. Â The food was typical Mexican fare. Â I had an enchilada dish which was smothered in cheese and was quite tasty for what I suppose people would call "Americanized" Mexican food. Â The salsa, however, was the most tasteless salsa I've had. Â We piled salt and peper into it to try to give it some flavor. Â Even the chips were sort of bland. Â Not the best mexican in the area, but I suppose not the worst either.
Review Source:The lady friend and I came here for dinner on Monday night. Â I'd been plenty of times before for drinks, but never for a full meal.
To start - they have house margarita's (and tasty ones at that) for $4 on Mondays.
We found the salsa very bland, but after dumping in some salt and hot sauce into it (and dumping some tequila into ourselves) it was tolerable.
Considering the blandness of the salsa, the food was quite good. Â I had the Pollo Mole Enchiladas. Â The mole sauce was nice and spicy and the portions were plentiful. Â I believe my meal was around $12.99. Â The lady also had enchiladas and enjoyed her meal as well. Â Not blown away, but good.
I always liked this place and i dont go enough. The service is always good and the employees are always nice. They have great mexican and american food and excellent guacamole.Happy hour is my favorite time and the wings are awesome as well as their steak. The bar has more Tequila than you could imagine! The atmosphere is laid back and relaxing with very cool decorations and the use of space with this home converted to Restaurant is creative. They also have an outdoor area as well and plenty of parking.
Review Source:The only memorable part of my meal was the good salsa. The nachos were just overloaded with cheese and not enough veggies/salsa to make it taste any different than what i could do at home with a microwave.
The main courses were average at best, and the margaritas are OK. They do have some drink specials which help keep costs down, but the food is not very flavorful. I hear the non mexican food is actually quite good. Maybe i will try that if I ever end up going back.
If you are looking for a great drink and a place to chill out for a bit this is the place to find yourself.
If you are looking for an authentic Mexican restaurant you may want to keep looking. Although the dining experience is lively and upbeat I wish the meals packed more flavor. Our circle of friends have nicknamed this place 'Pancho Mediocre'.
This is a very casual restaurant, not aiming to be particularly Mexican--there are a few Mexican decorations here and there mixed in with other kitchy things they felt were appropriate. Â There is a giant paper mache parrot hanging from the ceiling though.
We went at 8 ish pm on a Friday, no wait. Our waitress was quick and attentive. The chips were good...when they first arrived I thought they were those cheap ones from Sams but they proved to be yummy and the salsa was chock full of tomato chunks--love that.
I ordered the pulled beef tacos...I guess I didn't get the memo that pulled means BBQ, the beef was marinated in something sweet which turned me off immediately unfortunately. Â My favorite Mexican restaurant is Qdoba--they have pulled beef but it isn't sweet, it has the appropriate spicy taco flavor. I thought the 3 tacos for 12 bucks was a good value though, my husband will enjoy eating them for lunch tomorrow.
My husband got a chimichanga which he finished. I declined to have some though because it was covered with an unnaturally yellow cheese sauce... Â The cheese on my tacos was grated though-I prefer that.
I had a small size margarita, came in a water glass not one of those funny cactus glasses. Â They went light on the lime flavoring, you could say it was a tequilla flavored margarita-ha ha. So if you're into that sort of thing you'll like it, if you're more into fruity drinks I'd get something else.
I don't know if we'll be back since I didn't like the tacos, but I would recommend it to friends who live in the area--the restaurant had a nice casual environment, very laid back--which I guess explains why they haven't dusted the cloth booths in 10 years...that dust is locked in now!
Oh and they had trivial pursuit questions in the booths-fun!
I prefer more expensive restaurants when going to a sit down place, but I love this place. The food is excellent, and this is from someone who doesn't really like Mexian or spicy food in general. The atmosphere is very laid back, the server was great, and the Dave's wings? were excellent. My only complaint is the dining area wasn't very spacious. There was a large group with children who were a little loud. I will definitely be back.
Review Source:Pancho Loco specializes in mexican food, which I am not a fan of, so perhaps I'm a little biased. If I dislike mexican food, why did I go to a mexican restaurant you ask? Because I was forced against my will of course. Not exactly but it was a family gathering type thing and I didn't pick the restaurant. I don't even remember what I had, that's how uninspired I was. The other people I was with, some of whom do like mexican food, didn't think it was good either. Â There really isn't much room inside the restaurant, far too many tables crammed into a tight space. You can barely pull a chair out without bumping into the table behind you.
They seem to have a lot of specials on alcohol, so maybe it's more of a place people go to drink rather than eat. If you are in the mood for mexican there must be better places to go. If I were you I'd pass.
