Looks like more of this restaurant's customers need to write reviews to get the 'real' word out there. Â I've shopped at this location almost every Saturday since they've been open and haven't had a negative experience, yet; and, I'm not easy to please on several levels. Â Every pizza I've purchased has been excellent; and, I've bought almost every one on the menu. Â So far my favorite is the all meat stuffed. Â Really enjoy watching my order being made; a big fan of the umlimited jalapenos.
Review Source:Mustang sucks. Â There, I said it.
Sorry Mustang, but the number of reviews I've had to give businesses that I KNOW, from personal experience, are better elsewhere makes the conclusion inevitable. Â
Papa Murphy's in Mustang gets two stars, which Yelp says means "Meh, I've experienced better". Â I sure have...at Papa Murphy's!
So what is my problem you ask? Â The Papa Murphy's in question was in Austin. Â I used to get pies there all the time, using their coupons, which typically say "limit 3" on them. Â Have a coupon for a $10 pie? Â You can get up to three at that price, with each coupon. Â Up to three means you can get one for $10, two for $20, or three for $30. Â Want a fourth pie? Â Full price. Â That's the way their coupons have worked for years.
Except in Mustang. Â Phoned in the order, told them I wanted three pies (ordering for a crowd today), told them about the coupon. Â Nobody said anything at that time. Â I get there, I'm told one pizza per coupon. Â I point out that the coupon says limit 3. Â He calls the manager over, the manager says one pizza per coupon. Â I again point out that the coupon says limit 3. Â He (wisely if you ask me) decides he'll honor the offer as listed, but one wonders if this was only because I phoned in the order and he was about to be told fine, just keep them then. Â I never had this problem in Austin. Â Never. Â Not once. Â I'm willing to chalk it up to them being a fairly new store, but really they're not THAT new, they should have run into this scenario before. Â To their credit they did indeed honor the offer, but one shouldn't have to fight a company to get them to honor their own offers.
Come on Mustang, step it up. Â This is getting ridiculous.
***EDIT: Â I am pleased to change my review to four stars. Â One additional star for responding to my issue so quickly, and another star for explaining that it yes indeed was just a miscommunication, and they will be reviewing the policy with all the staff. Â You get another half star for the pizza being so darn good, that makes it 4.5...I'm going to round down for now, but I do anticipate a future update giving that final half star. Â Thank you, Papa Murphy's! Â You handled this incident well.
