Patriots Tavern

This was a surprise. All the dishes we had were exceptionally good and well composed. The patriot tavern just made the top of our list of places to go when we want top food for under $15... Worth the detour!

The problem here is training.  The service staff apparently has no rules.  Never should you go into a place and stand there for 5 minutes without anyone acknowledging you.  This has happened the last 3 times I went there.  Last time we decided to seat ourselves and STILL no one said boo to us.  Finally a CUSTOMER gave us their menus!!  Waited another 10 minutes and nobody.  Both the waitress (why is there only ONE at lunch time on Saturday?) and the bartender were serving.  Both ignored us equally - I couldn't take it any more.  My husband and I along with our $50 walked out the door.   Owner needs to step up training and expectations of his staff.

We both had the Lobster Mac-n-Cheese.  It was delicious!  Nice cozy place and not too busy on a Tuesday night, but on the weeeknds expect to wait.
