I am a fan of the Lee's Summit Peanut. My boyfriend is obsessed with the wings that they have at all of the Peanut's and we just happened to be in LS. We were one of four tables in the restaurant so we had great service and got our food quick. I had the BLT- so good- was rated highly on one of the Pitch's articles. I felt that it could have been cleaner, but that is the Peanut for you.
Review Source:I am shocked and very disappointed at the service I received here, especially since I am such a fan of all the other Peanuts, and unfortunately this is the closest one to me.
Not only did it take 20min for us to receive our drinks after we ordered them, when the waitress came to clear our glasses she didn't ask if we would like another, and it took another 10min to flag her back down to repeat the process. Â By the third round my party had given up and resorted to going to the bar to order drinks. Â Then the beer I got from the bar, A Blue Moon with an orange slice, came with a moldy orange. Â I didn't notice until after I had drank it. Â I took it up to the bar, because as a bartender I would want to be made aware, and was told I was wrong, it was only the core. Â As if I don't know the difference. Â Never going here again!
Another solid bar in downtown Lees Summit.  If you've been to a Peanut before you know what to expect, the place is much larger than the other Peanut locations but the food is just as good.  The recently updated their menu to be more in-line with the rest of the locations (a BLT with no fried egg is barely a BLT at all), which is a good thing.  The wings are obviously what you are either there for, or what you will be back for, but the food is always good to great  for bar food, depending on what you consider that to be.  I will of course, always come back for the wings, you will too
