Peddler's Bar & Bistro

I went to Peddler's with a group of friends after a wedding I had attended in the area.  Peddler's looks like a nice place, certainly clean, and the service was actually efficient on a Saturday night.  During the summer, they open up the patio, so you can sit inside or outside, which is nice.  At night, they pare down their food menu, but they have a good selection of appetizers and burgers still.  They also have a full gluten free menu, so if you're planning to eat gluten free (I wasn't, but someone in our party was), this is a nice benefit.

We decided to have some beer (pitchers seemed expensive here) and some appetizers.  I spied a thai style calamari on the menu, which looked interesting, with a sweet chili sauce glazed over the calamari.  However, I decided to order the crab and artichoke crostinis, which were delicious, but wasn't quite as filling as I had expected.  Another person in order group decided to order an appetizer sampler, which included huge mozzarella sticks (looks more like a mozzarella brick).

Drawbacks, at night, this place is loud with booming music and the outdoor deck is teeming with smokers.  Over the years, I've built more of an intolerance to both when I've gone out, so Peddler's will probably not be my choice for a weekend evening.  However, their food seems decent and I may come here for lunch or dinner again.

I wish I could give negative stars to this establishment.  The wait staff was horrible and had little to no idea what was on the menu, or what the menu items included.  It took me over 15 minutes just to find out what kinds of salad dressings they had...

Once the food arrived, the portions were very disappointing for the price, and even worse, when i asked for a refill on my unsweetened iced tea, the cost of the second glass was added to the tab without being mentioned that each glass was charged for...

All in all, I have refused to ever set foot in that restaurant again...

Nice country bar decor, comfortable and warm.  Great looking bar.  Ordered turkey Reuben and bruschetta.

Bruschetta had soggy basil and no flavor.
Reuben had Russian dressing with too little ketchup and too much relish.  Basically the same as the brushetta... thoughtlessly prepared.

Nice quiet place.  
Try the burgers, they have to be better than what we ate.
