New to Pho and wanting to try different resturants...we stopped in. Can't decide if was the previous reviews or not eating during the day that steered us here. But wow, if your looking for 1 gallon of broth with three pieces of chicken and some noodles, this is your place.  Also ordered spring rolls which we asked to be lettuce wrapped, not deep fried (on the menu), and we received deep fried spring rolls with lettuce on the side. Gonna keep looking around.

I've eaten Pho in several places across Denver and Aurora. And this place, by far, has taken it's rightful place as my go to spot! I highly suggest the Spicy Beef Bowl, it is amazing! If you want good Pho, go here, nowhere else, that is all!

Pho Nguyen is a great place for a nice bowl of pho! It has quick service and very delicious food. I plan on going back many more times.

Love this place, the service is excellent. Try the Vietnamese eggrolls and the pho is always good.

Did I eat in the same restaurant as the rest of you people? How can you possibly think this is what good pho tastes like?!?

We went there about a month ago after a long day of home renovation, by that point I was so hungry I could have eaten my shoe. My table shared spring rolls for an appetizer and we all got different permutations of pho for an entree. The spring rolls were tasty, but tasted about the same as every other Vietnamese restaurant you've ever been to. The pho, however, was probobly the worst pho I've ever had (the rest of my table agreed). The broth tasted like reconstituted powder chicken broth, and lacked any depth of flavor - no cinnamon, star anise, ginger, or cow bone. Also, I only got 4 measly slices of flavorless chewy meatballs in my soup. Oh, and did I mention they used vermicelli noodles instead of rice noodles? Or how about the fact they only gave the entire table 1 tiny plate of soup vegetables, and then wanted to charge us extra for more lemon and basil?!?

That day I left the restaurant hungry and angry that I had wasted my time and money. Rest assured that you will never see me eating there again!!!

I'm really impressed.  I didn't think that there was a better pho house than 888, but this one is certainly holding its own when it comes to a good bowl of pho.  It's a very small place (which is how you know it's a legitimate pho house) and smells so good when you walk in (another sign it's a legitimate pho house).  Of course we tried the spring rolls and the pho.  My kids also got pho and then on the second visit tried the fried rice, which they loved.  The only thing I wasn't crazy about was that they put bean sprouts in the spring rolls.  I like it in my pho, but not necessarily in my spring rolls.  Of course, it was still good - just happens to not be my preference.  The pho was fantastic.  Just right.  The only thing I don't like about that part are the disposable wooden chopsticks you get.  So I would recommend bringing your own set if that bothers you.  The spoons are melamine, so you kind of can taste that when you eat your pho as well (again, easily remedied by bringing your own from home).  Aside from that, however, it's absolutely delicious and for that, it's definitely a good go-to place when you need a fix.

Good pho for a good price, there's better at some of the places here in Denver but not that much better and most are a lot worse!  The only real downside is that it's in Aurora (hence three stars and not four)...I'd rather be in Kabul but then I guess I wouldn't have much opportunity for pho there so, if you're stuck in Aurora, it's a nice escape from that city's miserable existence...

Some of the better pho in the Aurora area. The thing that really makes it great is the couple that runs the place. They take the time to get to know you, and at this point they don't even bother bringing us a menu unless ask for one because we want to mix it up.

Pho Nguyen is our go-to place when we want pho but don't feel like driving 40 minutes to get the real good stuff. The pho here is not the best in the city, but it's good and it definitely does the job on cold nights or when you have that craving that nothing else will satisfy. It's a quaint little place where they get to know you if you come more than a couple times.

The service doesn't suck -- the people just try to stay out of your way when they're not needed.. maybe it's a culture thing, but I can't stand when I'm trying to have a simple meal or have a face to face conversation with my friends/family and the waitstaff won't leave me alone for longer than 5 minutes at a time.

Don't wait for them to seat you -- just walk in and grab a seat. Seriously, the place isn't that big, so it's not like they won't notice you.

If you order a soda, they'll give you the whole can -- as opposed to other places where they'll open a can in the back, pour what fits into your glass and then what.. drink the rest? I'd rather have them bring me the whole can. So what if they use cans rather than a fountain? Have you never been to a place where the syrup to soda water is off and it tastes like crap? Is the can itself really that offensive??

Once we were there on a Friday during Lent (ie, no meat) and the waiter was very helpful trying to help us find a good no meat alternative. We ended up getting shrimp eggrolls and shrimp pho with vegetarian broth -- not exactly the same as what we might order on another day, but it was great to have the option!

We appreciate their service and their location and will be back for more once the next craving comes around again!

So, I just discovered that this place existed last week sometime and managed to stop in for lunch today.  This place is pretty small.  It's not a bad thing, but when the service completely sucks when there are only two occupied tables in the whole restaurant, that's a bad thing.

When I walked in, this lady and two children were sitting toward the back.  Instead of getting up, the lady kept yelling in back for somebody to seat me until I finally asked if I could just grab the booth in front.  She had one of the kids bring me a menu and it seemed to take an eternity before a man came out from the kitchen to take my order.  I got a number 10 (steak pho) and a Coke.  He came back with a can of Coke and a glass of ice.... I mean really, WTF?

It didn't take too long before the man came out from the kitchen with a pathetic plate of a tiny bit of thai basil, a couple slices of jalepeno and then the "normal" amount of bean sprouts and limes.  But that was it for veggies and it was lame.  Now, for the pho.  It wasn't that great.  Seriously watered down, lacking in flavor and just bland.  There wasn't much as far as steak and noodles go and the portion size was small compared to others.  Something happened that has NEVER happened as long as I've been eating pho.  I was still hungry when I left.

This is not a place I will ever go out of my way to eat at again.  If you're in Aurora and want pho, you should head over to Iliff and Havana and hit Pho 75 instead.  It's MUCH better.

I have pho about four times a month an usually one of those times is from Pho Nguyen.

This is a little restaurant in the corner of a strip mall, right at Chambers and Mexico.  I mainly love it because I can walk there.  But the pho is good.  The meats are always fresh, as are the sprouts and basil.  There selection is good, not huge, but the normal rare beef, brisket, flank, tendon, etc. make their appearance.  The broth is good, but not as flavorful as it is at some places where I've eaten.

The staff is friendly.  Every time I come in and order takeout, the owner gives me a to-go menu and encourages me to phone in before I come so I won't have to wait.  Great idea.  We've always gotten the correct orders and everything is packaged well for travelling.

All in all, Pho Nguyen has a good, enjoyable bowl of pho.
