    Strong staff
    Great selection
    Enjoyable vibe

This joint had the beers and the bartenders and the food.  But here for an open jam night set up by the Marcus Montero Quartet (usual Tuesday night regular contributors).  The Olympics were on, and the US of A was in contention.  But people were looking more at the stage than their beers and the television.  The music is THAT live, THAT engaging, and THAT genre-agnostic.  Some people were hyped for the Michael Jackson cover.  But the all-night vibe held and the music was alright, alright.

Modern day, relevant, invigorating music is right here. AND cold beverages, good food, and ambience.  Due to rain, still haven't experienced the outdoor terrace, but at this point, I've seen enough to pay all the compliments, the tab, and maybe a little of the rent.  Excellent.

Great beer selection and the food menu was decent. If your planning to eat a meal I'd recommend going before 4p.m. to avoid a long wait.

Great beer selection, friendly crowd, though the beer rotates pretty quick so there something you really like on tap, you'd better drink up

Without question the best bar burger I've ever had. Above average sweet potato fries. Great selection of beer. Overall a great spot for a casual bite. Highly recommended.

Good neighborhood bar with upscale beer selection. Many micros and locals on tap, decent food and very cozy feel, like an English or old New York tavern.

My favorite bar in New Bedford. Exceptional selection of craft beers (duh) and the food is, perhaps unexpectedly, quite good. It's a homey, cozy spot for a tasty brew and a snack. Gets pretty rowdy (in a good way) on weekend nights when there's a band playing, but expect crowds at those times, too.

Generally very nice staff, good selection of slightly overpriced craft beer and a usually very douchey crowd (except on Sundays).  Never, EVER again!  You have been warned.

I have had both good and bad experiences here. Their beer selection is huge however most of it is not drinkable I think allot of it is selected because it's different not good. The meals are okay but nothing out of this world really basic pub grub but not always done well. Service is lacking and the place just feels like a dive.

Great place to go on the weekend for some live music.

They have a remarkable selection of beers. All kinds of cool stuff on tap with a convenient beer menu. The food is even good too. I had a really good falafel wrap with fries once.

The bands that perform here always bring about a good vibe and get people to dance and rock out. Only complaint is that it can get too crowded because the place is quite small when the upstairs area is closed. I have only seen the upstairs opened once after around 10 visits there.

Though the Pour Farm Tavern is about an hour away from Quincy, I have come here twice now(in preparation for and post-half marathon in New Bedford). It is a charming pub with a friendly staff and a good/varied menu. I tried the falafel (unique and tasty pub food) as well as the sweet potato fries, chili and onion rings. The cucumber dipping sauce is SO yummy. There is a great selection of beers on tap (including craft beers)- my boyfriend was happy to see that Hell or High Watermelon the first time we visited. When I next visit this city (probably to check out the zoo) I'll go back to Pour Farm.

The overall experience at PFT can be hit or miss.

    HITS:
*beer selection is always good and they usually have a few different ciders to try.
    *prices are fair
*they'll give you what seems like endless samples to try before you buy

    MISSES:
*live music acts are all over the place. sometimes it's great but other times it's sad
*this place is tiny and and if you don't have a table or a seat at the bar, you find yourself constantly shifting to get out of the way of other patrons

I would recommend giving PFT a try because you might just get lucky and snag seats at a table or the bar which will make your experience much more enjoyable.

Nice place. Didn't have my choices of beers though ...but nice place and great sweet potato fries.   It is small.  This was second visit.  The first visit they had Shipyard Punkin beer and laced the glass with cinnamon/maple on the rim.  Thought I wouldn't like it, but it was very good.  The Shipyard guy gave me some shirts too.   The second visit the band was playing...does get a bit crowded with standing room only....

Awesome bar, awesome beer,  awesome food, awesome people, awesome music. Not much else to say really. I've been going to this place for years now and I still love it.

The beer selection here is really good with lots of interesting things on their frequently-rotating taps. The staff is really friendly and helpful too.  I think I've only been here one night when there was live music, but it was an awesome funky jazz band that added a really cool ambiance to the place and was a nice change from the really awful karaoke that was happening down the street at Hibernia at the same time. The only downsides to this place are that it is really small and really dark. It can get really claustrophobic-feeling when it's crowded and I always feel sleepy when I go here due to the extremely dim lighting, more so than other bars I have been to.

Still a great beer selection, still wonderful bartenders, still great live music!

Update mostly because last time I was in there it was a reformed hipster girl's dream with the majority of the crowd wearing plaid and rocking their winter beards.  Swoooooon.  My guess is that this is the new "cool kid" bar, which is fine by me.

Pour Farm is a fantastic place to go if you're looking for the largest selection of beers in the area. Resurrected from what was once the Last Laugh, new ownership produced a low key powerhouse in downtown New Bedford to catch great live music with friends. If you consider yourself a beer aficionado, pick a number and join their drinking club - a membership that provides an extensive list of brews to sample in order to join the ranks of a most coveted brotherhood in many drinking circles. The only issue many people have with the bar is the lack of ample space to accompany the sometimes overly large crowds. Overall a great place to stop in and grab a beer or two.

Nothing too bad to say here.  Staff is friendly.  Everyone who goes here are friends.  The bar is long and narrow.  When a live band is playing, you can not have a conversation.

Pretty much ditto on what most people said:  I dig the atmosphere, varying and extensive beer selection and friendly bar staff but it most definitely gets crowded in there!  Not a place to go on a Thurs, Fri or Sat night with a date looking for some quiet alone time.  If you're down with chatting with the people next to you and grooving to the band that's playing while drinking something different, then this is the place for you!  Also, my boyfriend and I had the food there once- buff chic for me which was your standard salty, friend buf chic (my fav!) and the falafel sandwich for the boyfriend and it was EXCEPTIONAL!    I recently moved away from the area and really wish I could find a place like this where I am now.

I love the atmosphere here. It's dark, it has a long bar, a large TV, and  24 craft brews on tap, with no BMC (except in bottles). It might not be as appealing to someone who does not enjoy craft brews. It gets rather crowded on weekends.

The Pour Farm has been serving tasty and satisfying food for a while out of their second floor kitchen.

One of the few places I've been where they poured a flight with real care, each glass cold & fresh.  "From left to right...." the bartender explained, although it turned out it was HER left to right, not mine.  By the time I finished off the (winner of the lot) Brooklyn Blast, I couldn't tell my right from my left anyway.  This is a comfy little spot for excellent beer and such a lovely location too.

On first glance, this bar is very small. There is a small carpeted space up front, next to the entrance where bands can play. There is not much room to move around; there is a large bar and a few four person high top tables at the other end of the bar.
There is a touchscreen jukebox ($0.50 per song) in the back corner of the bar.

The bathrooms weren't spotless, but they were clean enough to use without worrying about catching something.

They have an extensive supply of beers, may on tap. The bartender that was working was very slow, and unsure of the prices of the drinks, so he had to look them up, creating more of a wait. However, when it started to get crowded, the slow bartender was joined by two others, so it worked out well.

They pour good sized mixed drinks in heavy Abolut glasses, and the beers that we sampled were by far superior to anything you can get at a "typical" bar.

It's a cool place to go if there is a band playing, or for a a few drinks.

They've got some cool wall art, and there was an eclectic mix of people in the bar.
They don't serve food, but a guy came in about 10:30 selling sandwiches out of a bag. (yes, it was just as sketchy as it sounds, but a friend bought one and said it was delicious!)

I do really dig the selection, and the friendly staff members.  As far as the location goes I sort of wish it wasn't so narrow.  The place fills up fast and we're sort of trapped.  Not for the claustrophobic.  Luckily its still an awesome place to go as long as you're prepared for the crowds.  Its a really hopping place.  Once they can expand it'll be really awesome!  But definitly the best beer selection in town!

The Pour Farm can only really be described as a nice little bar.  The beer selection being its top attribute and they're all pretty moderately priced.  Also, their option to make a 'beer flight', a sampling of 4 beers on tap, is very helpful with so many options.  I've never had food here, but the menu seems good, regular bar food.  Plus, there are a quite a few restaurants around that are open late.

My only issue with this place is that it's not very big, and with a college campus just minutes away, it's tough to get me here on the weekend.  Packed in like a sardine is not how I prefer to drink my beer.  Being that it's a small place, when there's a band playing, don't expect to have a conversation or hear anything at all besides the band.

Overall, this a nice place to enjoy beer and hang out, preferably on early or on a weeknight.

*The* place to get a good beer in New Bedford!  If you like craft beers you are all set.  They have roughly 15 taps and many many bottles.  You can make yourself a beer flight by choosing 4 of the beers that are on tap -- my flight was Green Flash-West Coast, Stone Ruination, Victory Weizenbock, and Lagunitas Brown Sugga, yum yum. I have only been at non-crowded times (usually around 6) so it's been fairly empty.  There's a cozy, comfortable feel to the interior.  During my last visit they were playing jazz, but there is also an internet jukebox.  As of right now there is *no food*, but there are plenty of places (No Problemo, Cafe Arpeggio, Spicy Lime) to grab a bite in the area.

Lots and lots of different kinds of beers. It's nice!

Only con: it gets SOOOO crowded there on weekends. I think they are opening an upstairs part soon, and I hope so. It's seriously so crowded that I'm sure they're probably violating some sort of fire code, because you seriously CANNOT move, let alone get to the bar to order. Might as well crowdsurf over there, haha. They have live music and stuff (mostly crappy cover bands), but it's decent. Once they expand I think it will be more tolerable.

How happy I was to see Dogfish Head on tap in New Bedford.  The Pour Farm is not only a great atmosphere with friendly people inside, but it also has a sophisticated beer menu and good food.  I can't wait to go back here.
