This place is a goddamn dump, but if you live in El Cajon, it will be the dump of your dreams.
It's not too big and there is Dale Earnhart and football shit allover the place. At the same time it's the cheapest place for a pitcher of Bud Light in El Cajon.
The bartenders are nice, and they know where you are just as much as you know where you are; roll in grinding your teeth and looking for a fight and they will notice, roll in looking for a cold beer and they will notice accordingly.
It's a pretty good time at the QD, only problem keeping it from 5 stars is it's cash only.
HEY QD, ROLL INTO THE 90's AND GET A CARD READER.
My husband and I decided to check this place out because it's sort of in our hood. Â As far as dive bars go, it was fine. Â We went around 10 on a Saturday and there were quite a few people there. Â It was a good mix of a crowd (didn't appear to be just a few regulars like some of the other reviews stated), and we felt welcome and comfortable. Â We played darts and ended up having to move one of the tables over a bit so we could access the dart board. Â The group at the table was totally friendly and fine and didn't bat an eye at us for wanting to play and asking if we could move the table over about 6 inches.
I made the mistake of trying to take my drink out on the patio to smoke, but the bartendress only called out to me and said "You gotta leave your beer inside".
I nodded, left it on the shelf inside the door, and it was no problem.
All in all, we enjoyed it, and we'll go back. Â
It's a hell of a lot better than most of the dive bars in El Cajon, that is for sure!
