This is a good neighborhood joint that could get packed in a flash.  The doors were open, so the smoke wasn't bad.  the patrons and the bartender were overly friendly.

The reason why I dropped this from a 4 star to a 3 is the identity crisis.  I'm not sure if it's a hooka, cigar, rock, mello or an upscale joint.  I REALLY like the look, but perplexed by the identity.

I guess it's cheap drinks and smokes, which would DEFINITELY work for me...

Great little neighborhood bar.  Smoke was not as bad as we expected per other reviews.   We went on a Wednesday night and they had live country music . . . . everyone seemed cool and we had a great time.   Drinks were very reasonable and we will def be back for that reason . . . .

The place is a smokers haven...I enjoyed a few cigars and listened to the cover band.  Don't expect anyone to come to you for refills, you have to get up every time for a new beer.  They don't serve food whatsoever, but you can bring outside food in and even the pizza places close by deliver to the bar.  It was a fun night out, but I will probably go elsewhere in the future

Ahh Quinn's.  A great little neighborhood bar... if you get in.. and out at the right time.
If it's early enough, the smoke won't kill you.  If you're super sweet to the manager, he might turn the music down a few decibels so you can talk.  When the band plays, it's fun.  But as almost all the other reviews state, the smoke is awful later.  The place is just too small for smoking.  I am an ex smoker, and I even went outside to smoke.  I wish they would read these reviews.  People don't mind going outside, they are actually used to it by now!

The wife and I stopped in here a while back while walking around the old town area.  The place was packed and had a live band playing, which is good.  However, the smoke drove us out of there within two minutes.  I smoked for five years and still enjoy a good cigar from time to time but, it was just too much in there.  Maybe we'll go back if they go smoke free.

I want to support night life in round rock, but I walked in, faced a wall of smoke, and walked out. Go smoke free!!

Cool place, usually has live music, the bartenders are great, if you get bored there's about three other bars on the same street.

Friendly bartenders, great drinks, live music, and a diverse and fun crowd of people... all that AND you don't have to drive down to 6th Street!  Highly recommend Quinn's for a drink or 2 or 3... :)

I would like to start off by saying that I am not a Yelp abuser. Someone that just gets on and complains that the tea was too watered down or my fish was overdone. I give credit where credit is due and like to find the positive in things. I even get knocked for being too positive on here. Well friends, I hope this fills my negative quota for the year.

Tonight (yes, tonight. I was so appalled by the evening's events that I felt it needed immediate attention) my friends and I took the trek north to good ol' Round Rock. I know very little about this town other than the bars are smokey (gross) and they close way too early. But a good friend of ours plays at Quinn's every now and then and this was one of those nights. We have never been regulars of Quinn's, for reasons stated above, but tonight we managed to get a few extra friends to come with us in support of my husband who was asked to play with our friend, the regular. He had actually asked a number of people to come out and play with him in hopes of showcasing some local talent.

The night started off great. The bar was packed with friends there to support the music scene and everyone was sounding great. A nice mixture of talent.

So my husband, who has spent weeks practicing for this night, is going up soon when we are informed that the manager is kicking everyone off of the stage, except for the original musician, and that no one else is allowed up there. This is an hour before closing time, so we had been sitting around waiting for quite a while to see my husband play at this point. Naturally, we all start asking questions and trying to figure things out. To preface this, we are a group of young educated professionals that know how to conduct ourselves in public. We work in all aspects of the professional world and understand that good customer service is good customer service. So my friend goes to talk to the manager, who happens to be standing 3 or 4 feet away from our table, in hopes of reasoning with him and just trying to rationalize the situation. I was closely watching this and saw that the manager was obviously trying to explain away why he chose this time to assert his dominance and ruin everyone's good time. (yup, I am throwing in my opinion on that one).

Things seem to be fine and our friend walks back to the table and starts telling us the excuses the manager has given him. "The vibe was off." "It was starting to feel like a jam session" yadda yadda yadda. At this point, we realize he isn't changing his mind (he wouldn't dare want to look weak) and we are all just bummed.

Tensions are understandably high, so when my husband walks back to the table after paying our tab he looks at the manager and says, "Thanks a lot." (and yes, he was definitely being sarcastic and snarky). This apparently is enraging to the manager because he literally jumps at my husband and gets inches from his face while doing that stupid puffy chest thing that guys that work out at the gym way too much like to do. I am shocked and automatically stand up and go on the defense, along with another of our guy friends. The manager uses the words (and I am not kidding here) "Do we need to take this outside." He puts his hand on our other friend that has stood up in an attempt at pushing him away and starts making aggressive comments towards him as well. That is when I couldn't hold back and moved over to the manager and began telling him how unprofessional he was and how big of a mistake he was making. At this point I was shaking I was so upset  and I definitely raised my voice. My husband did not come at him in an aggressive manner and neither did our other friend and the manager was looking to start an all out brawl. It was the craziest thing I have ever seen.

I think that by the time I was talking to him, the manager had realized he messed up BIG TIME because there was a look of fear in his eyes (or maybe it was the fact that he had a tall angry blonde woman in his face). Not one mutter of apology came out of his gaping mouth, so I turned around and started gathering my things and my friends so that we could get out of there. We left without anything else happening and I am fairly sure no one looked back or will ever go back.

I am so appalled by this man's behavior, but feel even worse for the owners of this establishment. I would be humiliated and so upset if I had someone like this representing my company. Not only is this a fairly new business, but we live in an economy where the slightest mishap can ruin you.

Do I think that my husband should have said anything to the manager in the first place? Absolutely not. But as a manager, you have to be willing to make decisions and back them up with explanations. Oh, and the whole "don't beat up your customers thing" is important too. This guy is just a law suit waiting to happen.

This little bar is a good place to just sit talk and relax.  I'm not a big bar/pub type person till I came here and now I think I will be.  I really likes the atmospheric, It was quiet the first time I went with just a few people but does get busy, not too busy to walk around though.

Yuck!  If you are a college student who smokes like a chimney and want to buy drugs.........this might be the place for you!  Otherwise, stay the hell away!

I agree with reviewer Tracy H on this place.  I've been a few times and the customer service is horrible.  I don't think that these guys need to work and this bar must be a hobby or lark.  They would rather keep talking to their friends than acknowledge you or serve you in a respectable amount of time.  You may as well not tip either because you'll never hear the words "thank you".

The bar itself is nice and even the customers seem cool but the bartenders are among the worst I've encountered.

I've been twice and both times the service was poor. Last night the bartender texted on his phone while I waited at the bar even though he saw me come up to bar. This was after waiting at the table for a few minutes without being acknowledged. It seems to me that it has regulars, and if your not one, then you don't get good service. I thought the first time I went in it may have been a bad night, but got the same feeling and service the second time, which leads me to believe it is typical of this place. Too bad!

I stopped in with a friend for a drink with no real expectations. I'm not a typical bar patron and my usual drink is scotch but since top shelf isn't always on the menu I settle for a Guinness. Quinn's is a late night Round Rock hot spot and I always see it full on Fri and Sat nights.

The ceiling fans are cool, the decor is ok and I like the long curved booths. My friend and I sat and had our drinks considering all that the great state of Tx and Round Rock in particular has to offer. You get a little of all of it here, blonde with fake tits, upwardly mobile guys who lift too many weights wearing long sleeve shirts, metalhead with long hair and leather jacket doing the occasional hair toss, Mexican guy in jeans and a cowboy hat then...some dork in jeans. That's me.

Overall I found the place fine. My only surprise was the smoking inside. As soon as enough folks showed up and 4 or more started smoking it was time for me to go. I loathe being in a closed air place with cigarettes. I know it takes away all my clout and merit as a man but my colors really show. I'm going home to eat some omega 3 filled salmon and drink bottled water.

If you're around RR go check the place out.

This place has the best wallpaper ever and their ceiling fans are really cool.  I believe there's a bar/restaurant next door that is better though because they have several areas for live music and they gave me a free Incredible Hulk pint glass!

Oh, poor Quinn's...are you schizophrenic or just having an identity crisis?

I still have memories of your shell as a coffee shop. I heard your name and figured you were an Irish pub. You are not. Driving up, I saw the Fleur de Lis  adorning your windows. Oh, cool! A Louisiana style/Cajun joint perhaps. No, not that either. Dark wood furniture with granite table tops, hardwood bar, big padded booths...maybe a little upscale. maybe? Wait...what is that? Lil' Diddy Wayne West feat. Eminmemenem BLASTING with booming bass. Well, hell...now I'm just confused. What are you?

What you are is a decent little neighborhood bar with a decent drink/beer selection and a diverse crowd. The staff although not rude, wouldn't fall into the "friendly" category, either. The smoking ban hasn't reached RR, yet, so the air was...aromatic. You have all those double doors. Open them. I would have stayed for more than one drink, but I could barely hear what my friend was saying. Turn down the volume.

Quinn's, I think you need therapy to find yourself...

When Mr. Green suggested we visit every bar in Round Rock on a Thursday night, I figured it probably wouldn't take more than a half-hour or so, so what the hell. And I was fairly accurate. Incidentally, this actually may have been Mr. Pink's idea, but sometimes I can't keep their friggin' colors straight.

Quinn's Bar was our first stop. I'm not saying all bars should have an identifiable theme - like dive, gay, hipster or whatever - but it does make it easier to describe in a Yelp review. Right offhand, this place struck me as one of those new upscale places you find in Downtown Austin, but with short black dresses and martinis replaced by gimme caps and ashtrays.

I'm always fascinated when I walk into a bar and see smokers lighting up, but in this particular venue, it just seemed unnecessary. Although I'm a smoker myself, I just got up and went outside a couple of times, because I'm a polite and sensitive guy, and I can only take so much of Eminem complaining to me at 83-decibels. We didn't stay here long, and headed off to the next establishment.

What surprised me was when we finished our crawl around 11:40, we passed by Quinn's on the way out, and there was either a live band or some serious karaoke apparently kicking ass for a late-night jumping crowd. Hello? Did we miss the memo here? Maybe I'm underrating the place, or maybe they were just waiting for us to leave town. Ok, score one for all parties, and we'll keep Quinn's on the short list for our next Northern exposure.

Nice atmosphere. Good selection of beers and a full bar. I very much disliked the 90's rap music in the main room and the bar tender was unwilling to compromise. The back room has an anemic jukebox and free pool on the kind of table you would expect to be free.
The place has potential but lacked the kind of staff that makes you want to stay for a few drinks. Next time I will walk on down to Juniors.

FIrst time going here last night and I had a great time. Saw the band Crashroom 9 play here. The drinks are not a cheap as my favorite place the Hideout but few places are. The bartenders are extremely friendly and genuinely interesting. They have a good selection of alcohol and and a pretty big repertoire of mixed drinks they can make up. For me it's the first bar in round rock that I have really enjoyed and i definitely will be going back.

We intended to go have some drinks and listen to some live music at Juniors Grill and Icehouse (a few doors down), but they were packed.  So we decided to check out Quin's.  We were surprised to find a full house, and not able to find a table (which from most of the times I've driven by is unusual).  Then 2 minutes later, out pops "Elvis" on stage for a gig. LOL  Well that was funny but we decided not to stick around.

The bartender was friendly and they had a few interesting drafts. More of a place for booze than beer. Has a pretty intersting inside and some plenty of good size TV's. Not particulary cheap though.

I've been to this bar a handful of times and had good experiences each time. No menu or waiters, but it is always quick to get a drink from the bar. They have some fun-sounding specialty drinks for the ladies and their taps feature only local micro-brews, all very good. The bartender let me and my wife sample a few of the beers before I made my choice, something I don't think would happen in Austin. The last two times I've been they've had live music and a crowded floor in the front room, but there is a back room down the hallway that some people don't seem to know about, which has three big comfy corner booths and a FREE pool table with a good-sized flat screen tv on the wall. They have decent happy hour prices, cold pints or specialty beers, free pool, and you can park in the free parking lot around the corner so I gave them 3 stars. Round Rock does not have a smoking ban, so this place can get a little smoky in the front room if there's a lot of people. All in all, not a bad place to meet up with friends and have a quick brew before heading off to somewhere else for food and atmosphere.

This was one of the worst bar experiences I've had in a long time. The bartenders were unfriendly and not courteous at all. I went to see my friends, whose band was playing there. They were rude to the band members, and they COMPLETELY screwed them over payment. They played a 3-hour set, had a large crowd that was into the music, and basically didn't pay them crap. The drinks were WAY overpriced, ridiculously so. I will definitely not go back, nor would I recommend it to anyone. Ugh.

Very, very bad first impression of this place.  We walked over here after having a Mardi Gras dinner at Louisiana Longhorn Cafe and noticed that there were only a few people inside.  Feeling sorry for the place and always wanting to try out a new spot, we decided to check it out for a beer or two.  The bouncer at the door says there is a cover charge to enter this empty looking bar.  Good luck with that and good luck with your new business in downtown Round Rock.

This place is great.  Something Round Rock has sorely been lacking - a friendly, upscale, neighborhood bar.  It's got a great upscale atmosphere, but the prices are to die for.  I'm a fan, and future regular.
