Just ate here for lunch. It was our second time here. The first time was ok but this time was terrible. The food was just ok but the service was awful. We got our drinks right away, but then it took at least 10 minutes for someone to come take our order. It wasn't busy, as there were only 2 other tables besides ours that were occupied. After receiving our food, no one checked on us. We needed refills. My husband had to get up to interrupt our server & hostess, who were chatting it up at the counter. They were acting like we weren't even there. We will not be returning.
Review Source:Yeah, this is the stuff. Excellent Mexican food, which is a rarity in the Rochester area. Worth the drive out to Spencerport if you're serious about Mexican food. I liked that the chips were served warm. They occupy a huge space - not sure what it used to be. Atmosphere needs work, but I liked that they were playing Mexican music and the wall hangings were artwork evoking Mexico. Service was perfectly OK.
Review Source:For Rochester, this is as authentic as it gets.
Ranch Viejo has staff mostly from Mexico. They are friendly and the service was excellent. I love the chips and home made salsa, but you must try a mole dish.
From a guy that has been all over central Mexico, I will say you should give this place a try.
