We were looking for vegetarian or organic meat dishes and hit Yelp for suggestions. Â We found the Bad Apple to have a decent selection on the first seasonal menu, with it's chicken being the star, crispy skin and juicy inside. Â (I can't remember the name of that chicken dish, because its components change seasonally, but the chicken is always good). Â My second choice for dinner, and maybe even my first, is their fish fry on Friday nights. Â It is panko crusted, lightly salted and served with sweet potato fries. Â I loved their vegetable risotto, which was a lunch menu item, but that left too quickly when the seasons changed. Â My fiance has enjoyed the butternut ravioli and the pumpkin soup. Â
OH, and the salad with the wine poached pears... Â Don't miss that one. Â It's easily one of our favorite salads anywhere we have ever been. Â
My only gripe is that they went light on the vegetarian and organic meats the last couple of times we were there. Â We had some difficulty finding something to eat independent of each other, and we like to each try something different. Â However, their menu changes so frequently that I am sure this will not be a problem in the next menu or so.
