In the land of neon day-glo tank tops and regrettable tattoos, Ravina is a safe haven for those seeking relief. Â
Set on the shore of Lake Delton (you can watch people practicing for the Bartlett Water Show), Ravina has a great outdoor patio as well as seating inside for those not wanting to brave the heat. Â The menu is heavy on appetizers, burgers, and sandwiches/wraps. Â I am definitely a fan of their burgers. Â 1/2 behemoths that come cooked as ordered nestled in a brioche bun. Â Appetizers are also solid. Â Fried pickles served with a buttermilk ranch and a side of dijonnaise are extremely addictive.
All in all, a solid place and a place that I could see myself going to on the regular if ever I lived in the Dells.
If you're in the Wisconsin Dells you need to hit this place! Â Food is outstanding, great atmosphere with VERY friendly staff. Â If you go at night you can catch the some of the Tommy Bartlett show which was very entertaining. Â Most of the seating is outside on their patio with a HUGE umbrella over head overlooking Lake Delton.
We started off with the Patio Pleaser appetizer that was a combination of nachos, chicken wings, cheese curds which fed six easily. Â I had the fish tacos which were outstanding as was the walleye, burgers and wraps.
Stopped here for lunch after a Dells boat tour and was absolutely starving...luckily Ravina Bay was up to the task. Â It was a Tuesday mid-afternoon, so it wasn't busy at all, and we got a great spot on the deck, and had a fun time watching the water-skiiers practice for the Tommy Bartlett show. Â I ordered the bacon ranch loaded potato popper burger with a side of fries.
Positives:
-Location is awesome...away from the hustle and bustle of the touristy Dells, it's back in the woods and on the lake with a partial view of the Bartlett show area. Â Would be fun to eat there while a live show was going on.
-Good food and portion size. Â I was starving when I arrived, stuffed when I left. Â The potato poppers were delicious.
Negatives:
-Maybe a tad bit hard to find in all the touristy Dells stuff, but look for the signs.
-Parking lot is very small...not an issue for us, but could be a problem on busy days.
A great meal spot that gets you away from the craziness of all the touristy junk throughout the Dells...and gives you a nice lake view and some fun stuff to watch with the Bartlett show nearby.
