Sidetracked

While never stopping in before, a rainy Saturday made us think of this bar/restaurant which in near our summertime camping trailer.  We always pass by and depending on the day or time there are either a few cars to a jammed-pack parking lot.  Another couple in the campground told us they stopped there the evening prior for a burger and beer which they said was very good and mentioned a "Bloody Mary Special" which is what perked up my ears!  

Saturday mornings they have a "Breakfast Special" which includes Make-your-own Bloody Mary, steak, 2-eggs, 2-hasbrowns and 2 pieces of toast, all for $10.00  You can't beat that folks.

The Bloody Mary Bar was better than some and offered the usual veggies, along with a few surprises like slim jims, pickle juice, horseradish and three different "bases" which ranged from a house, to a bottle of premixed hot mix to plain tomato juice.  Very tasty.  You are served a tall glass with rail vodka and ice.

As far as the breakfast goes, again, all was pretty good considering most people I feel stop here for a drink and not for a breakfast.  Steak is only prepared one-way; as they serve it to you, our eggs were delivered in various degrees between over-easy to over-medium.  While not fancy, you must remember this is a quick hangover type breakfast and over all well pretty good.  

I look forward to going back and trying out a hamburger which we spotted while dining and looked very good.  We never did see any menus  so I am unsure of the extent of the other food served.

Staff was very friendly, bartender served us very happily and the owner even stopped by to say hello and ask how our breakfast was.  

The bar itself is decorated very nicely between a sports-bar, biker-bar and typical up north style bar.  Very clean and roomy.  Good times are certainly had here on a regular basis.  I look forward to coming back soon!
