I'm gonna' give this place one star because I can't give it zero. Â The service was excellent, but the food was horrific. Â I had the bbq pork rib sandwich. Â First it came cold, laying over a bed of soggy french fries. Â Sent it back and then got bbq pork with NO sauce left on it, dried completely out (after being microwaved, I am guessing) covered in COLD cole slaw...which I have NEVER seen in my life, nor do I ever WANT to see it again. Â It was disgusting. Â Had the distinct impression chef was trying to be "exotic"...but it only came out foolish.
Review Source:It has been nearly six months since my initial review. Â I've been back five more times and every meal an enjoyable experience either with my wife or friend John, the certified Italian chef.
Saturday, armed with a "dining certificate" purchased on-line, my wife and I decided being lovers of bar-b-que ribs to give the tempting offer of 16 ribs ($17.99) complete with salad and one side a try.  We were handsomely rewarded!
After our very nice salads, Kristy our server almost needed a 'third-hand' to bring
the large platters worthy of a photo to our table. Â Each featured two perfectly matched stacks of eight large ribs covered in sauce and ready to fall off each bone. Â "Wow!"
I had a side order of fries packed into Rbg's signature "fryer baskets" and my wife's
side was a nice serving of garlic mashed potatoes. Â Both were perfect! Â What a deal!
We both were able to finish just half an order, so we each had eight ribs boxed for
the coming week, but I don't think they will last very long. Â A word to you "Rib lovers,"
don't bother with the smaller 8 Rib offer at $14.99, the deal is the "Sweet 16" offering. Large ribs, sweet sauce, great taste and plenty of napkins, what a deal!!!
Rbg has quickly become one of our favorite restaurants with its superb upscale hotel setting, attractive menu, efficient service and reasonable prices.
Patio is small but nice!  the wings were a nice size and tasted good, though the meat was a touch dry.  the soup had nice large chunks of corned beef and vegetables but the broth was somewhat bland.  my wifes vegetable panini was delicious and the sweet potato fries were cooked perfectly.  my burger was good though it was difficult to taste the whiskey bbq sauce. I oordered it medium rare and it was a solid medium which is actually pretty good for Milwaukee.  the fries  were delicious beautifully double fried, crspy on the outside and fluffy and potatoey in the inside.  portions were nice and overall an enjoyable experience.  definitely looking forward to going back and trying other menu items.
