I'd give it one star but it almost feels like it's not fair.
There's a cover $5-$10 depending on the day. Two floors, two bars, the upstairs has a tiny dance floor where people huddle together and pretend they know what they're doing and often live bands presented which won't impress you. It's extremely loud both upstairs and downstairs. Basically they attempted to put a dance venue and a bar together. The bathrooms are rarely ever clean, can't recall it ever being clean. The downstairs has a smaller bar and an extremely small disco like dance floor where you can rub your tail against everyone and their grand mother's. There are lounge seats against the wall, which well, you can have someone rub their tail against you unwarranted.. it's almost bound to happen. Some days it's empty, other days it's simply packed. Most of the people that go there are locals because they have close to nowhere else to go to in the boonies. I have nothing good to say about the venue except that if you like to get wasted and you really aren't a great dancer, it's a good place to go to get the ants out of your pants. Ah! The visual aesthetics on the exterior makes it appear like it's a good spot. As for the crowd, students to mid 30's maybe.
I love coming here for Wednesday night sushi and jazz. If you want to hear a some live entertainment, GO! Good people, good sushi, and always an amazing performance. It depends on the night. I tend to not go on Fridays or Saturday's because it's super crowded and usually some top 40 cover band, but people get really into it.. The bartenders are all really friendly and personable.
Review Source:The Red Door is the bar I always end up at when I visit home. It's the only place in the area for real live music, drink prices are  reasonable, and the layout is awesome. It can get a little crowded on the weekend, but that is the weekend bar scene for you. Open Mic Thursdays and jazz and sushi Wednesdays are fun too with $2.50 drafts to boot!
