Never a disappointment here. I've been here so many times and have tried it all. Great food, great service. Can't wait to be back for more

Don't get me wrong; I didn't HATE this place, but for the price we paid, I felt like I should have enjoyed the food more than I did (maybe it just wasn't my taste?). Parking is a bummer here. Got early, got lucky, got a spot. My friend parked a few blocks down and didn't even want to deal with the parking.

We took a table that was near the parking lot on the patio. The unfortunate part of that is our table is directly in the path of the fabric that separates the Coral Tree Cafe from the Red Room, and there were too many people just walking back and forth to the point where our experience wasn't exactly comfortable and my friend kept getting bumped by random instruments, people, bags, etc.

Went here for dineLA; fortunately for us, it was Wednesday so we got to listen to the jazz being played outside (which was really nice!) I got the tomato gazpacho with ceviche, the halibut, and the stone fruit trifle. We got a bottle of house wine to split. Though I really liked the ceviche, the tomato in the gazpacho was too acidic for my tastes. It just tasted like a cold bowl of crushed tomato with some ceviche in it. As for the halibut, it was cooked perfectly, but was served with a handful of raw basil that I didn't know what to do with. The taste of the basil was too bitter to eat with the fish and there was just way too much of it. I wish it was cooked a little here. The trifle was decent; nothing too special.

We actually had pretty decent service here, but I would hope so considering that it is a small venue. The only issue I had was when our waitress went on break and we weren't attended to for a while (we actually have no idea if she went on break or not, but we just guessed because no one came by for a while). She was really nice and helpful in our decisions for wine.

Overall, a nice place to try, but probably wouldn't return... Wasn't a huge fan of their dineLA menu!

I love this place to chill out with a glass (or four) of wine. Sit at the bar! The manager is very good about recommending various bottles, and the food is excellent. The atmosphere is very nice--going there is like a little mini-vacation. This is a little hidden gem in Encino.

Live Jazz music every Wednesday evening at the patio seating area.

Very cool and cozy atmosphere. The staffs there are very friendly.

Good selection of wine. Good choices of tapas.

    Love the flatbread!

It's really nice having his place in Encino, because there isn't a lot like it in those parts.  They have an excellent selection of wines by the glass.  The people who work there are knowledgeable and are eager to turn you on to a new find.

The food is pretty good too.  On a nice evening, having a drink on the patio and some nibbles makes for a relaxing, enjoyable night.

This month has been a busy one for me. I finally turned 21 and had the busiest semester ever. So you can understand why I've been really looking forward to visit The Red Room with a fellow food lover.

    THE DRINKS
To start, we ordered Moscato. I'm pretty sure it's Canyon Rose, but I can't find the name online, and it's not on the website's menu. Whatever it is, it was fantastic. It was light and sweet and really good for a lightweight like me. I finished a glass of it pretty easily.

My friend then went on to some European beer whose name I cannot remember. Maybe because I didn't like it. Maybe because the alcohol had gotten into my head by that point. Maybe it's both.

I had Artazuri Garnacha Rosado. Although the color was beautiful, I didn't enjoy it as much as my first wine. I don't think it was the right wine for my first taste of rose.

    THE FOOD
My friend ordered the Sonoma Lamb Meatballs, which came with goat cheese polenta and charmoula yogurt. It was garnished with microgreens and flower petals (I think I saw violet petals and something else). I wasn't a fan of the merguez spices in the meatballs, but I did really like the polenta. However, the goat cheese flavor was nowhere to be found. I didn't taste any of that distinct goat cheese tang that I love so much.

I ordered the Roasted Mushroom Flatbread with brie and truffle oil. This was SO rich, SO delicious. It went so well with the Moscato! The mushrooms were earthy. The brie was melty and scrumptious. There might have been a LITTLE too much, but there's really no such thing as too much truffle oil, am I right?

    THE SERVICE
Our sommelier, Fernando, was very confident in his recommendations. You could tell this guy loves and understands wines. We were sitting outside and I wore a sleeveless top, and Fernando asked a few times if I needed the patio cover so I wouldn't get cold. What a nice guy!

    THE ATMOSPHERE
Located on the busy Ventura Boulevard, The Red Room might easy to miss. It doesn't help that it's located right next to Coral Tree Cafe, whose size kind of dwarfs The Red Room. There isn't much space on the inside, but it certainly has some sort of dark allure to it. The outside area is nice, and the traffic noises aren't much of a nuisance. I recommend sitting outside.

    THE FINAL GRADE
A // I've been wanting to try The Red Room ever since I drove by it, and I'm very happy with my experience. I could go back from time to time if I'm looking for a nice way to spend a lazy afternoon with a friend.

This place is located in a strip mall. All the hype here on yelp made it seem like we needed a reservation even at that time so we made one. We were alone with the one person working there (I'm assuming the owner) because he told me not to look up at his hand written menu as it is not "fact" because the lady who has the beautiful handwriting costs too much money. So...look at his paper menu. When I asked him about doing a flight of red wine he told me "it's too hot for red wine". That is unfortunately the only wine I drink. So, feeling about 1" tall, I let him recommend a red wine since he interrupted me describing what I wanted with a " I know what you want". He quickly brought back a wine for me to try and I only have one word for it - terrible. He was a bit displeased and brought back a second bottle and then said, "we can use the same glass" but it had a sip of the one I didn't like still in it. So before he could pour on top of that I quickly gulped the bad tasting one down. Upon tasting the second one I was secretly horrified that it too was - terrible. HOWEVER, being a wuss, I said this one's ok. My husband was already telling me under his breath to just drink the wine and then we'll go eat somewhere else. I was so hungry though, I had to have an order of olives which were incredibly delicious but WAY TOO MANY to eat with no bread or cracker or anything else to go with it. My husband ordered mac n cheese (seemed like a boxed brand rather than home made) The owner/bar tender or whoever he was that was there this past Sunday at 4:00 p.m. really, really needs some customer service skills. I felt like I was an American on vacation in some country where I didn't quite understand the etiquite. All in all it was an asward experience and I would never go back nor would I recommend this place to anyone.

I've visited here twice. Ambiance is very cute. Dark with candles and fireplace, nice wine atmosphere.  But I wouldn't recommend coming here for food.

The mac and cheese was watery. Such a disappointment  : / .Lamb meatballs were just Okay, I enjoyed the Brie sauce on top, And the mashed potatoes served with them was fantastic.

Salmon was okay, but not worth the money. I've had better salmon at Roladin Cafe down the street that's half the price. But of course Roladin doesn't have the same ambiance.

Mushroom flat bread was good, nothing to rave about.

Servers are quite friendly and attentive. But the strangest thing was that we ordered a glass of wine we wanted to try but they told us they had no open bottles of this wine. So we had to get a 2 glass minimum? Strange to me for a wine bar refusing to open a bottle of wine for just a glass. I don't know if this is customary or just their weird requirement. But it seems to me that if you don't want to serve certain wines by the glass then don't put them on the menu.

I guess what you're paying the high prices for here is the ambiance, But I wouldn't go back here.. Well unless my girlfriend drags me here again.. but next time, she's paying !  = P

Really enjoyed this place. Great spot for a quick drink and appetizers. Not sure if this place would be great for a full meal since they only had about 4 entrees on the menu but based off the appetizers we ordered, I'm sure the entrees would be delicious too. The setting is cozy and romantic. Dimly lit with candles and a fire pit. Perfect place for a date. The wine list was decent and had a short but unique selection of beers in case you're not a wine drinker. I highly recommend the pizzas! We ordered two different kinds but my favorite was the kind with prosciutto. I went on a Thursday night so there was basically no one there however I could guess this place gets crowded on a weekend so I would recommend reservations. Service was prompt and attentive. One important note; parking, even on a weekday was very difficult to find. Unless you have good parking karma be prepared to park a little far away.

Fantastic food and wine in a cozy atmosphere.  We sat inside our first time there, but I cannot wait to come back and sit on the patio in the summer.  The staff was so friendly and helpful and the food was so unexpected and delicious.  I can't wait to come back time and time again to try everything on the menu!  Make a reservation though, as it is a tiny spot and you might not get in on busier nights without one.

This place sucks.  I get there and there's probably at least 5 tables open, and they say the wait is at least 30 minutes. Maybe the lack of service was due to the understaffing.  2 people (host and waitress) serving 10 or more tables plus the bar.

Went to this place for the first time yesterday with my husband. At first it seemed that we were heading to a disastrous night as service was very slow, but we noticed that they were pretty busy and understaffed. Our wine took a long time to be served; it actually came with the charcuterie board we ordered, which was odd. Ok, we were in a very good mood so we kept trying and after a while, Fernando came to talk to us and apologize for the beginning of the service, he was super nice and all and all, food was very good, very good wine selection, great service and Fernando saved our night. We had a great time and will definitely be back.

A nice spot to hang out in Encino. they have a great selection of wines and many appetizers.

The decor is warm and cozy.

The only complaint is about the so called profiteroles drenched in Caramel (!!??) that I had to return ...sorry for being French but profiteroles go with chocolate coulis not caramel...

Ambiance. Ambiance. Ambiance. I'm a huge fan of restaurants with nice ambiances, and The Red Room Food & Wine Bar is definitely one of them. It's a very cozy, intimate wine bar/restaurant with fewer than ten tables inside but they also have some tables outside as well. It's dimly it adding to its intimate environment. Definitely an ideal date spot.

Service: The waiters were very friendly and helpful in selecting wines. As for the wine, there is a large, varied selection from all over the world so I definitely give the wine selection a thumbs up.

Food: I got the flatbread with squash and kale which wasn't spectacular but it was still good. The bruschetta  consisted of several slices of bread with different toppings such as arugula and a unique type of vegetable so it was interesting but not amazingly delicious. However, the tiramisu was absolutely delectable. I'm not a tiramisu fanatic or anything but The Red Room had some bomb tiramisu.

Parking: There's a small parking lot, but only a few spots are reserved for the wine bar. The other ones are for the surrounding businesses. However, there was plenty of street parking even on a Friday night so parking was refreshingly very easy.

Overall I had a great experience at The Red Room and will definitely be going back there for its awesome setting, good wine, and delectable tiramisu.

What attracted us to this place was that there is actually free corkage for one bottle of wine...whattt?  awesome!!  We came for an early dinner for a friend's birthday and the place was pretty much empty which is good for us :)  Even though the place was a bit small, the ambiance was nice with floor to ceiling chalkboard for the menu and wine list along with great music and lights.  We ordered 2 tapa dishes: bruschetta trio and roasted heirloom cauliflower, both delicious; shaved artichoke salad and kale chopped salad, honestly, I'm not a big fan of neither of those vegetables, but they made both salads really well; 2 flatbreads: cultivated mushroom and roasted squash, delicious!!  The serving sizes were aplenty to share among the 5 of us and the waitress kept refilling our drinks, really attentive.  I think it's a hidden gem in the valley!!

I came here on a Wednesday and there was live Jazz music. Apparently there's jazz every Wednesday and there's 10% off your first order with a Yelp Check In. I really liked the music. I'll most likely come back on Wednesday for the ambiance and the music, not so much the food.

    Decor and Ambiance: 4 Stars****
This is a great date spot. Small, intimate, dimly lit, calm and soothing music. Reservations recommended since this place is really small.

    Food: 2 Stars**
    1) Mushrom flatbread - it was good but nothing spectacular. I liked the brie cheese, which was a nice change of pace from the typical tomato sauce on flatbreads.

    2) Bruschetta Trio - Overall disappointing. The cheese didn't taste too fresh and this would be the first time I was disappointed in a bruschetta appetizer.

I was intrigued by the name as I'm a fan of David Lynch. I imagined myself getting lost in the Black Lodge aka The Red Room. Alas, it was just another wine bar with a standard look.

I met some friends who live out this way for some wine and conversation on a Thursday night. I thought Red Room was cozy and really intimate. It seemed like a great date spot, but not suitable for entertaining a big group. If you sit inside be prepared for everyone to hear your conversation as it's tiny in there. The patio looked better, but it was a cold night, so cold even heat lamps wouldn't do the job. I would definitely sit out there on a warmer night as it was a bit more spacious. The place was definitely neat and clean. The music didn't fit the atmosphere. I expected some relaxing jazz, but it was top 40 hits.

I didn't eat, but others around me did and it all looked really good. The meatballs looked really appealing and the mushroom flatbread looked and smelled amazing! I like that they offer 10% off your order with your Yelp check-in.

Dislikes? The parking lot is bullshit. Most of the spots are reserved for other businesses like Radio Shack, so just park on the street. Also, some jerk parked so close to their door on the walkway I could barely open the door and get in. I also didn't think the service was that amazing. Yes, they came back around and brought water routinely, but I didn't get a friendly vibe from them. They also have beers on the menu (one person in our group wasn't a wine drinker) that they don't even carry anymore. They are all bottled, not on tap. Also, when they were getting ready to close, they just turned off the music abruptly and seemed annoyed that we were still finishing up our food and wine.

The wine was yummy, the decor was standard. I wouldn't go out of my way to come here since it's really far from where I live. I'm also not into bars that close at 10pm.

Love this place! My best friend and I come here all the time for our "girl chat time."  Although this place offers larger plates, we always order off of the tapas menu. The tapas are great with a few glasses of wine. I recommend ordering the cheese plate. I do see couples come in together and have a meal... the large plates look amazing!

The place is very small, probably like 5 tables, and they have about 5 more tables outside on a patio area. The outside tables share the space with the restaurant next door to it- which is also amazing.  The lighting is dim, which is sultry and romantic. The staff is extremely friendly. i would recommend this place.

Why are there so many wine bars with "red" in their name in The Valley and all happen to be on Ventura Blvd?!??!

    Whatever.

I already got here, and so did my friends, and we were going to have a fabulous time.

Note: make a reservation in advance. The owner gave us those funny eyes because we did not do that but so graciously had a table ready for us on the patio.  He also led us through which wines to order for non-connoisseurs, with some samples too. I stuck to a Riesling, and probably will need to venture out, or pair better with my meals.  There are definitely huge price ranges for whatever you are willing to spend to suit your wine interests.

I thought it funny that we ordered much more food than wine. Our table order:
    - Iron Skillet Meatballs
    - Cheese Board
    - Hummus Trio
    - Italian Sausage Flatbread
    - Braised Beef Shortribs

Everything wasn't so spectacular but was still good; above average I'd say; looked pretty. I think Red Room caters perfectly to people who just want to snack and have a variety of wine flights, but also provides a great dinner selection for the super hungry. The atmosphere is definitely classy and relaxing and I'd come back for sure.

Remember to make a reservation or else you'll get funny eyes! If not, I hope you'll still be able to enjoy a seat on the flight.

Awesome Date spot.  Went there on a Friday night.  We sat outside and enjoyed a great Cabernet.  We ordered the lamb meatballs with the amazing sauce,  flat bread with some sort of bacon on it (i love bacon), and also the charcuterie plate.

I wanted to order an entree to split but that was more than enough food for two people. The waiter was spot on.  The ambiance was relaxed and so non-pretentious as I assumed it would be from its location and type of cuisine that they were offering.  There is a great french influence on their menu.  But then, as you taste the different items, you feel there is a lot more going on with the spices and marinades that they put together.

I will go back again because I need to get an entree and dessert!!!!

A cozy, intimate. hidden gem right next to Coral Tree Cafe in Encino. They have a wide selection of great wines and their food menu has improved a lot. You can tell they use fresh ingredients from the local farmers market here. The space inside is pretty small but I prefer sitting outside by the patio instead anyways. The patio is probably 2-3x bigger than the inside.

The salads, meatballs, cheese plate and flatbreads are delicious and perfect small plates that you can enjoy with your friends while trying several wines. The staff and chef are all very friendly and came out to say hi to me and my friend. My favorite has to be the Spanish wines they have. Well balanced and very good quality wines.

If you live close by or are in the area, definitely stop by here. It's a great local spot and perfect for unwinding after work or coming during the weekends. I heard that they will start having live music soon so that would be pretty nice. :)

Red Room is a strong 3.5, if it wasn't for the miscue with service it could  be a 4.

    Pros:
    Nice decor
    Good food
Taste the wine before you purchase (HUGE PLUS)

    Cons:
Location (feels like you are practically eating in the parking lot)
Maybe service, but only one experience

Overall, the food was good.  The steak was the star for me. It was prepared well, with a good amount of char on the outside, but not overcooked on the inside.  The flat bread was good but not amazing.  I think part of it was the toppings were not very even.  Not sure if this occurred in the cooking process or delivery to the table, but it sucks when you get one of the slices with no cheese or toppings.  The chef did stop by and asked how things were which was a big plus.  We said the food was good but the timing was way off with its delivery, hence the service problem...

We were hanging with friends, somewhat leisurely, ordered some wine, appetizers, and entrees. Red Room has pretty small tables and about half way through our appetizer our entrees arrived.  They were stuffed on our table and of course got somewhat cold. I HATE cold food, so I scarfed mine down but Lissa G's and the others were definitely cold by the time they got to it.  Her steak was obviously not close to the version I experienced.

Maybe to some it sounds like a small thing, but it really effected the mood of the table. It wasn't something that was done on purpose but it was pretty amateur, plus when trying to get their attention behind the bar to get the bill  they just continued eating without even looking our way. This sealed the deal. We may go back because of the other positive notes but I already have a big question with service.

We live in the Inland Empire (about 1.5 hours away), but ended up being in the area a week or so after our first visit and loved the place so much, we went back there for round 2.

Our 2nd visit was just as wonderful as the 1st! We didn't have a reservation but were able to sit outside on the patio again and enjoy the night air. Once again, the owner was all hands on deck. After laughing and joking for a bit, he got us started by remembering to bring us a bottle of wine we had ordered before. Talk about having a great memory!  Instead of tapas, this time we ordered salmon w/potatoes, & risotto (and of course the bread w/the delicious dipping sauce). The food was scrumptious and the service was impeccable!

Red Room is an excellent place to go for a delicious meal, FABulous service, great wine, & a wonderful time! Be sure to stop by if you're ever in the area. You'll love it just as much as we do!

This was a good experience for a wine bar. They have some work to do on the restaurant SERVICE side if they intend to continue doing meals. While the food (especially the flat breads) was mostly delicious, the service left something to desire. Dishes arrives too early, and plates weren't cleared before the next ones arrived. Good ambiance, but wouldn't want to sit outside looking out at the parking lot. I would go again but I wouldn't have dinner, just wine and tapas. The desert was entirely underwhelming and I could've done better in my own kitchen with some fresh ingredients and half an hour.

    Loved:
    * Wine tasting before committing to a particular wine. Thanks!
    * The organic heirloom tomato salad with burrata cheese and toasted bread.
    * Participation in Dine LA, with a chef who seemed to care (stopped by to say hello).

I really enjoy this place.  It's got a pretty small menu compared to other tapas places, but everything we had was delicious. The last time I went got flatbread, the cheese plate (which includes a homemade fig jam that is killer), a kale & quinoa salad that ROCKED, and we both tried two different wines each.  Everything was tasty, fresh, and flavorful.

The only thing that leaves something to be desired is the service.  If you sit on the patio you will likely be waiting a very long time for someone to come to you.  However, the ambiance, food, and wine more than makes up for it.

I'm torn.  I see a bunch of mediocre reviews mixed in with good ones for a place that is truly a gem.  And it's small.... in a good, intimate sort of way, and I really don't want to encourage more people to start coming to a place that my husband and I have adopted as "our spot" lately.  ;)

The menu is small, but everything we're ordered (flat bread, cheese platters, salads) has been tasty and fresh.  We don't usually come here for dinner though.  This place is a late evening bite-and-glass-of-wine place for us, and we have never been disappointed.  The servers we've had have always known a lot about each wine, graciously allowed us to taste various wines until we found The One, and there's never been a rush to get us out the door.  How European!

This is such a nice little wine bar.  If you want to savor a delicious glass of wine in a comfortable, intimate spot, this is it.

Made a reservation for two on a Friday night with our groupon in hand.  Two glasses of wine, one salad (greens), one tapas, and one flatbread.

The sommelier was busy so the waitress gave us the restaurant overview and asked us what wines we would like.  She brought two bottles according to our preferences (light to medium red) and allowed us to taste each before selecting.

As many yelpers have noted, the food and wine were delicious. The restaurant is intimate and romantic. The major issue for us was the service.  We felt neglected or forgotten about during the meal.  We had been there for nearly an hour before ordering our cheese plate(tapa) and sausage flatbread while everyone around us seemed to be receiving ample attention from the wait staff.

I guess we will chalk this up to a potential miscommunication among the waitstaff...

To summerize, I'd say this restaurant is on par with neighboring Vino Wine and Tapas - intimate, romantic dining with hit or miss service. We look forward to giving this place another shot.

The ambiance was nice:  intimate patio warmed by a firepit.  It is a tiny place, so be sure to make a reservation.

The food was really good, but it is mostly tapas style.  We had the iron skillet meatballs, the cheese plate, the mushrooms, and the sweet Italian sausage flat bread.  My husband also got the salmon and really enjoyed it.

Surprisingly, the only disappointment was the wine.  First, our server wasn't very knowledgable.  Apparently there is a sommelier, but despite our requesting his attention, we never saw him.  Nevertheless, we decided we were up for a tasting.  We asked if the sommelier could prepare a flight for us based on our food order/interest.  No go. We were told that the only flights available were the restaurant's limited French and South American selections. I went with the French and my husband went for the South American.  The French wines weren't very good.  To top it off, apparenly they don't have a lot of glassware, so new wine was poured into the prior glasses during the tasting.  Kind of a disappointment for a wine bar.

Oh this is a nice little intimate place for wine, tapas and a nice fish dinner.

I was bummed to learn that they did not have the Oregon Pinot Noir (on the two occasions I went in fact) and they don't carry it anymore (it's on the menu so just know not to expect it to be there).  But, the other wines they have to choose from are nice.

The tapas seemed pretty decent, but I would not say spectacular.  But not bad either.  The dinners were really delicious.  My friend had the salmon and I had the risotto with black garlic.  Both were amazing.  My friend who isn't a big fish eater really really enjoyed the salmon.  We also ordered the flat bread before dinner, and that was really good.

Overall this is a nice place to have good wine, good food, and good conversation.  It's not noisy, it is small and I will be coming back.

It would be hard to  imagine three other people enjoying good food and wine as much as I do, but alas, my two brother and father fill that order.

The four of us came here after a jazz concert and we started off by enjoying some tapas and a bottle of wine from the Happy Hour selection which is limited, and very good.

We were all salivating over the menu, the Filet Mignon in particular. Sadly, we were then informed that they "were out of it." Booo!

My Pops and I ordered the braised short ribs which our server (maybe the owner?) highly recommended. I don't generally eat ribes as it seems rather barbaric to me, but I thought, what the hell - let's try them. Turns out there were no bones at all, just some reallt tender meat perfectly seasoned.

Very nice (and very small) dining room, but there is a nice patio as well.

What a nice change from the yogurt shop it used to be...even though we did like the frozen yogurt place they had there before.

Very intimate & very small. They have about 5-6 tables inside as well as a bar. They also have seating outside with heaters and a fire pit.

The food was outstanding! The wine float we went with was the Italian. All three wines were delicious. We made note of each bottle we tried because we plan on purchasing them.

You can even make reservations using your cell phone. My wife and I had a wonderful time and the staff was very pleasant. We will definitely be going again and maybe even bring friends!

Also, it wasnt horribly expensive either. Very affordable for what you get.

Did you know that in the country of Jamaica, the term "red" is a popular slang term for those who have become a little drunk or under the influence?  While I was far from drunk, I was a little "pink" shall we say in the Red Room of Encino.  I came here recently with friends to try their Happy Hour.  Here's what I had:

2009 Excelsior Cabernet - A rich, velvety cab that seduces the senses.  I had three glasses of this delicious red nectar.
Margarita Flatbread - A vivacious mixture of the traditional marinara sauce, basil, olive oil and mozzarella.  A good standard, and one of my favorites.  Very tasty.
Cheese Board - Three different cheeses of the chef's choice with all the trimmings, including baguette slices.  We went off Happy Hour for this. The board was very, very good!  Definitely a must to try when here.

While their Happy Hour is good, is it not excellent, as it's pretty sparse (three wines, two food items).  I am hoping, however, that more things will be offered in the future.  The ambiance of the bistro is very sensual, all done in a deep ruby red with black trim.  A shiny bar dominates one side of the room, while a comfy banquette lines the front windows.  The quaint size of the main room is reminiscent of a small Parisian bar.  The service was excellent, and we wanted for absolutely nothing.  Parking is convenient in their attached lot.

Now, I have heard it said that red light has been used to help cure migraine headaches.  I can definitely say my headache was completely gone after my "red light" treatment in The Red Room.  I will definitely be back here soon for the alluring South African Excelsior.

A small group of us met here for dinner.  To begin with parking can be really tight, which is not the greatest way to start off an evening. But, it had no real impact on the dinner, or the company. It's just an additional comment as part of this review.

We started with the hummus trio, which was a great beginning. The winter salad and kale chopped salad were excellent. I had the braised beef short ribs, or rather, short rib, not ribs. That was one downside to this restaurant, the portions are small.

We had their wine tasting thingy, which was a great way to try various wines, then go with one that you really enjoyed.

I've had better flourless moulten chocolate cake; this one was okay.

The service was sub-par! The food is just good enough not to give 3 stars, but almost didn't make it because of serving size and poor service.

I could not be more impressed with this place even if I tried! Came here for the Yelp CMYE and was not expecting the quality of service we received. Everyone was so friendly and attentive! It's a pretty intimate place so I appreciate the service being attentive, but they also give you room to breath and enjoy your delectables.

My faves by far were the flatbreads, more specifically the mushroom flatbread. A second close were the mozzarella and tomato salad. I have not had mozzarella that fresh, except in Italy and I choose not to compare. It's apples to oranges really. Everything else was delicious as well, these are just the ones that stood out the most.

As a matter of fact I enjoyed the kale salad so much, I was inspired to replicate it at home. As for the desserts I had both the dulce de leche cheese cake and the chocolate cake. I'm truly not a chocolate lover (gasp) but I was ALL over this! Now that speaks volumes if you ask me.

Don't let the fact that it's in a shopping center deter you from visiting this little gem. You will not be disappointed.

Nice little place where the flat bread pizza' is pretty good, but the Kale Salad was great... The wine selection is nice and priced reasonably...

Makes for a great local hang out with friends!!!  Come early as space is limited so probably best to call ahead if with more than four in your group...

    I am truly impressed!

The venue itself is somewhat small, but they definitely maximize space with a clean and simple decor.  There is indoor seating as well as heated outdoor options.  The space is not quite designed for a VERY large party, but you could definitely host a fun dinner for up to 20 comfortably.

I'm trying to remember the dishes we shared, but everything was so good, there is no way to recall all the good eats.  What stood out amidst the onslaught of grub: the meatballs, tomato & mozzarella (a must-order), shrimp dish, mushroom flatbread, kale salad, and salted caramel cheesecake (which is less cheesecake and more custard than anything.. it's also REALLY lemony).

Red Room would be perfect for a date, small gathering, or intimate dinner of any type.  I really can't wait to drag my husband back here and enjoy some more delicious tapas not too far from home.  The only reason it did not receive full stars was because Ole kicks all other tapas restaurants' booties.
