Terrible. Stood at the bar for 15 minutes before either bar tender acknowledged me, then paid way to much for a lemon drop with hardly any vodka in it.

This is my favorite bar in Redlands for many reasons.
1) The bartender is always so friendly, and she is very attentive. You never have to wait long for your drink.
2) This is a place to come with friends. You can just kick back and enjoy each other's company and not have to scream to each other over ridiculously loud music. They have karaoke, which can often times be a bad thing, but I ALWAYS enjoy it here.
3) I appreciate that it doesn't try to be something it is not. It's a place that offers drinks and somewhere for people to enjoy each other's company. It's not glamorous, and I'm okay with that because I'm a jeans and t-shirt kind of person anyway.
4) I like to go out on the town, but I'm not much for the club-like vibe of most bars. I HATE being hit on by random dudes every 5 minutes when I'm trying to have a nice night out with friends, and that never happens here. It's really nice! (btw, if you ARE interested in dudes hitting on you every 5 minutes, you should check out the Vault.)
5) The bus boys are always walking around clearing tables, so you'll never have too many glasses/bottles piling up on your table.
6) The prices are good! I come here some Monday nights for $2 Bud Lights.
7) It is super close to the parking garage, and right next door to A La Minute. YUM!

The place was actually in the ground. WTH! It's like Cheers if Cheers had no atmosphere, horrible food and warm beer. I swear the bartender was spit shining the glasses. It's a hive of scum and villainy, I think I actually saw a cock fight in 1 corner of the room....& they weren't using chickens.

This place is horrible, I felt so scared like i was going into a basement to die. Thank god there is a place to review i was sure i was going into Hostel. I ordered my food and when it came i realized that it looked like someone screwed my food like with their member! or maybe something attacked it like a chupa cabra. The drinks were good but it made me paranoid because even rat poisoning isn't always traceable. I seen a review about the vampires and griffins and Its true there is something in the back that they keep there. It must be something inhuman because when u enter, the hairs on ur neck stand up and the people who go there are just as mysterious. I needed a wand like harry potter in order to reflect light because it goes in and out at night. U must believe that there is a paranormal feel and U should be warned!!

So it's Thursday night and the night after holloween, so some buddy's and myself were not sure what to do and were bored so we decided to go to down town Redlands we heard of this dive called the Redlands Underground and boy was it a dive. Once the biker looking door guy checks your I.D. you gotta walk down stairs like the name implies and the first thing you see is the bar and some bar stools, and little did we know the loud blaring music was karaoke and some tool messing up Social D's Mommy's little monster....well I used to like that song :-/ the karaoke guy was rude and gave me a dirty look when I asked to sing Call me Maybe, the guy was a total jerk. The bar tender was nice, the drinks were good but between the worst karaoke set up I have ever seen and how much of a jerk the karaoke guy was I will never go back.

I had the opportunity to visit the Redlands Underground last night. The music was loud, the bar was too crowded and the only thing that made it worth the $100 I spent was that the owner had a nice ass!

I was sadly disappointed when the Underground stopped their Drag Queen night. It was much more fun than the stupid CroakieOkie they usually have. I must say the owner looked great in the chiffon ball gown....

I used to LOVE this bar, and practically lived here, but then I moved. So, I was really excited to come back when I got stuck in town on a Saturday night, because I would get to swing by again for karaoke. At least, I was excited until I got there. Apparently, Poncho (owner) has become increasingly obsessed with My Little Pony, and will only allow people to sing horrendously drunken versions of Pinkie Pie's songs, such as the "No Fear" song, or the "Smile" song. To make matters worse, he offers free drinks for the night for anyone who is wearing a My Little Pony costume AND doing karaoke. If you want an example, imagine something like this http://www.youtube.com/w…, paired with http://goo.gl/UiNaA. WTF.

I walked in one night and EVERYONE, bartenders included were all wearing depends adult diapers. Apparently it was a "Depends" party... How gross is that? I can't believe they fed me free alcohol until I joined in. ugh. Disgusting. How dare they!!! Although arousing to see some in diapers and the owner looked surprisingly sexy in one, I am still scarred for life! And will never get those images out of my head.

The owners wife is a b**ch. I mistakenly left my ID and called to see if someone could open the bar before hours to help me get it back. I called the owners wife and she told me that there was nothing she could do even though she only lives 10 minutes away. I WILL NOT EVER BE BACK HERE. Why can't people be human and help someone else out when they need it?!? Besides, the bar sucks, the drinks are weak and way overpriced. I'd rather go to a Friday's

This is one of my favorite pubs. Jess is a friendly bar tender and is always smiling, their whole staff is alwasy willing to conversate even the doorman...

If you are looking to dance and get martinis this is not your kinda place.... This is not an L.A. type of place, which is why i prefer this pub out of all of Redlands.

When I go get a Brewsky I wanna relax, drink a New castle, and have some good convo....

Its not all decode up, but its in old town Redlands, I personally love the relaxed atmosphere....

They could choose a better football team other than the PATRIOTS... But hey I like their style other than that.

I wanna be able to relax when i go to a bar, not dress up like a hoochie... This bar is my kinda place for sure.

Was in Redlands for a business conference and wanted to find a bar with food so we tried this place. What a mistake. We got there at about 6 pm on a Tuesday night, walked down a flight of stairs into a vaguely smelly basement bar to find the place completely empty except for the bartender (who we think was the owner) and her little girl. The television was tuned to Nickelodeon. Hmmmm....

So we ordered a couple beers and tried to order a couple burgers. We were informed that it would be about 30 minutes for them to get everything going in the kitchen. Huh?? So while waiting we had a couple more drinks. Still not a soul in the place but us, the bartender, and her kid. Finally, she tells us we can order so we ask for a couple of the burgers and then wait almost 50 MINUTES for them to come out. The bartender keeps apologizing and tells us the cook is trying to make sure everything is done just right. How hard is it to cook a f#^*ing hamburger??

Finally, we get our food and finally a couple people come in. Goofy people. Strange people. Unfriendly people. Oh yeah, and the first bartender and her kid leave and she is replaced by some young girl who spends the whole time texting on her phone, going outside for smoke breaks and trying to avoid eye contact with us so she wouldn't have to actually, you know, serve drinks or bring us our check.

So the long and the short of it is: So-so food, no crowd, smelly basement atmosphere, crappy service.

Do not visit this shithole.

My friend and I decided to visit this place on a whim this past Valentine's Day. To our disapointment, the bar looks nothing like the ambiance portrayed on the website. The bar was completley empty. WE were greeted by the staff right away and picked our own seat. It was a little unsettling though to realize that we would be visited several times during our less than appealing meal by a young little girl. She was cute, indeed and lovely, but this was not a family restaurant, it is a bar. I did not find it appropriate that she was playing at the bar on her own unattended and had the opportunity to visit my table several times during the short time i was there and keep my from enjoying my drink. I am not against a family atmosphere, however, i chose an adult location for a reason that night and was disappointed.

Came here last night after UFC fight, pretty good crowd seems to me that a lot of regulars come here... Be ready not to get selected to sing karaoke, we put our names on the list and 2 hours where still not elected, but the same people that where singing 20 minutes ago get to go again....hhhhmmmmmm. Did not try the food, drinks are decently priced. It is really hott an musty , hey have no pool table.. Bathrooms are not clean... Probably will not go back anytime soon.

Review for the bar.
The crowd in here is just not my type of crowd. Buncha goofy looking characters. And it was just too damn hot down there. Music came on and off with long pauses and for most of the night there was no music playing at all. A bar to just sit, drink, socialize with your OWN friends.

Out of all the shitty bars Redlands has to offer, I enjoy this place the most out of all of them, but that's not saying much. The 4 stars is because it's relative to THIS area, not of LA. I like this place because it's not that packed, and everytime I go there's always someone actin' a fool. (mostly me) they offer karaoke some nights and if you saw that asian girl going H.A.M on Tupac's changes, that chick was me. Round of applause, y'all. I personally think the drinks were just right- but I order shit like vodka tonics/ vodka waters/ patron shots and beer. My friend got a sex on the beach and it was....weird. It tasted like a greyhound (grapefruit/vodka) so.. whatevs. The drinks were strong at least for me, but maybe because my friend is hot. (I am NOT...so I don't have an excuse.) I've never eaten here, but they have a bunch of tables for restauranting I guess. They have a piano in there as well and I've been known to tickle the ivories (very terribly) while intoxicated there.

I think the thing that gives this place 4 stars rather than all the other places is the fact that there is a significantly less amount of douche bags in tapout shirts here. I like it grunge here, so let's keep it that way.

Overly bright, not much decor for an underground bar. This place had no design to it. Was it a pub or just a dive bar. Actually neither just a bar with very little character. And the drinks were weak and uninteresting.

Won't be going back here again.

Always have a great time when we go to the Underground. The only place I have actually done karaoke in public - I can't deny it, there's video! The owner is awesome and the staff is great too.

Be sure to try their 1lb burgers. They are huge, clearly hand formed, reasonably priced, and very high quality. Service is always great. Staff seem to genuinely care and will hang out with patrons a little (but not too long). Not loud at all but I'm sure that can change as it is in a basement. Reminds me of east coast bars. Highly recommend.

Bug in my friend's beer is why I chose 2 stars instead of 3. Other than that, I'd probably still go again if I'm hanging out in Redlands. It was chill and got pretty crowded; had a nice time with my friends.

Pricing....eh. Weak drinks. Karaoke selection...workable. Basically where I'd go if there is literally no room in The Vault.

I came her on a Wednesday night and it was very chill, not busy at all. They have some interesting art around the place that makes it unique. The bartenders are friendly and the drinks are cheap. Its definitely a cool spot to come with friends to enjoy some drinks and chat! I will definitely come back again!

definitly like this place its nice and chill and when its busy it doesnt feel crowded the bartenders get to you quick, and they are definitly some of the more interactive bartenders in downtown redlands

I came here for an art show and my friend's band was playing.. it was my first time here and first Downtown Redlands bar.

The layout is kinda cool; you first need to go downstairs to go to "underground" and when you are there, you can tell it has a very casual feel to it. Not classy, but a very home-y and comfortable place where friends can catch up over burgers and beer. The have sofas around the place, some tables here and there, and the main bar in the middle, which is the first thing you see when you go down the stairs.

I generally hate it when bars has one single bathroom... and yes this place is one of them.

Other than that, this place is kinda neat, I would come here if I wanted to go to a super chill and casual place with friends over burgers and beer... but if you want to go to a good DTR bar with good drinks and a good vibe, I would suggest the Vault nearby.

If you are looking for a real life Cheers then this is your place. I personally am not which is why I rated it a two.

This is a jeans and t shirt kinda place, and I had on a dress and heels.... so I got started on the wrong foot. I typically like to be dazzled with decor when drinking, and this ain't the place. I only had one drink and wasn't quite drunk enough to enjoy the girl murdering the karaoke song. She was awful, lol, but she was having a blast.

If you are low key this is your place. I'm more over the top.... a must see though if you are bar hopping.

Thursday night karaoke is great. There are some really good singers that stop by this joint, and many not-so-great who are just out for a good time. You better know what you want to sing, though, because there are no books to select songs from, you just tell the kj and he plays it for you.

The bartenders are dreadful. They messed up a vodka-cranberry, for crying out loud. They have clearly never studied a drink recipe in their lives. However, if you order a "sex on the beach," you will be served this very tasty tropical drink with pineapple juice and who-knows-what else (completely wrong, but quite delicious). Stick with that or with beer and you should be fine.

The late night snacks are just ok.

The ambiance is a little dive-y, but there are couches and little nooks to hide in that make the place really charming and cozy.

Good times at the Underground.

I've loved this place from the beginning and it remains one of my favorite local bars in the area being that they have karaoke nightly. Nothing beats a round of drunken karaoke in my books. Apparently this place is a restaurant during the day, which I've been to once only because I got silly the night before and left my tab open.. but if you're in downtown Redlands and want to rock out, then come to the Underground!

Man, I need to get back here to put some photo's up so more folks looking for one dam serious burger. The wait is long for the food, but dam worth it!!!!

A few weeks back i was part of an art show held at the Underground. Although the space is small that night it was packed. The drinks are cheap, the restroom are small, and the ventilation sucks. I think this place has a lot of potential to be an awesome lounge. Damn can I offer some interior design ideas. The door guy was cool -(always a plus in any establishment).

Overall - if i'm in the area again or get invited to participate in another art show- i'd for sure come back.

I would consider this a dive bar, and I hear it gets hot sometimes, but it's worth it. I usually go to the Vault and for the first time, I went to the Underground last night and love it! It's really chill, lots of places to sit, and there was no line for the bathroom! BOOM! The Vault just got replaced!

Most yelpers like to pick one of there best reviews as a milestone ...especially when hitting their 1,000 review...and I don't think there are many of us but...I really don't care if it is my best or worse review so here it is

Back to Redlands...usually the "underground" place has it's "special" meaning but not here. It is karaoke place...well at least that was what they were doing when we were there.

People singing K whatever, playing games at the bar,..no table service...go to the bar.

We had one drink and left.

GOOD GOD IVE FOUND MY GRACELAND....

My friend Mary and I were feeling a tad depressy one day and decided to use alcohol to drown our sorrows. "Hey", we thought, "its market night. we can get a nice buzz on at the falconer and walk around a bit to burn off the buzz!" (Hey! not that we drove down--we walked!)

So we go to the falconer, and first of all, my previous review of the falconer expresses my anger toward the fact they obliterated the cornish pasty....I could get by without it, i guess, that place has sentimental value. Well, the minute they got rid of happy hour, AND sierra nevada on tap (fiances fav) we decided we were done with this place, sad to say. The passing of a legend. Queue the sad music.

So, anyway, I say "this place sucks so much now. Why dont we try a place around the corner called Redlands Underground? I think they have happy hour?" So we trot on over there, walk down the stairs....nothing visually impressive, but a nice sized open space. We sit at a table in the far corner kinda near the bar and order a few drinks. I'll skip the details---the mundane ones---basically we had 6 drinks between us and 2 appetizers. Well, you're probably wondering "Gee, was this a constly endeavor?" It cost....

ready?

$20 BUCKS!!!!!!!! (plus tip of course) But jesus, this is a steal. Suffice to say, Ive been every week since then, sat at the same table, and the waitress even remembers our drink order!!!!! Its my Cheers!!

Basically the happy hour special is $2 wells and $2 drafts. Martinis are a dollar extra (jesus--what is this? 1965??) appetizers are half off. Buffalo chicken strips and beer battered onion rings are the picks. Onion rings have a seasoned batter that doesnt need any salt, which is nifty. I dont like the caprese "underground style"-basically a caprese salad, but blended up with a food processor. Kinda looked like salmon colored barf :)

To sum it up, great, friendly service, damned ridiculous drink prices and good appetizers.

If you cant find me at home during the hours of 4-6 monday thru friday (til 8 on tuesdays!!!) look for me at the table second closest to the kitchen. Half blotto-----but full wallet!!!!
