This place is a hidden gem in Redmond. Excellent Excellent Excellent Service :)
Good Food and Nice Decor.
We ordered the sliders and the veggie Redmond Burger. While it tasted nice , I wish the the meat on the sliders were shredded and the veggie burger had some sauce on it. ( Too dry for me). Â The Parmesan fries are very good.
I will definitely visit again !
Stopped in because we heard the new Chef was awesome. We had several apps and everything was delicious. We were thrilled with Chef Chris. We also had the best service we have had in a long time. The bartenders, Joey and Mike were gracious, professonal  and informative. Great Mojitos also. We had the bonus of "beat the geek"night. So much fun! Everyone should go for excellent service, awesome food.
Review Source:I've been to this place more times than I can count, and clearly I keep going back for more!
The wings are really tasty and I usually have the house salad on the side. Â The lettuce is always fresh and not wilted, which is crucial in a salad. Â For a late night snack, you can't beat the nachos - topped with real shredded cheese, not the movie theatre stuff that looks like melted plastic. Â
The specialty drink menu is inventive yet not to far out there so you don't recognize the ingredients. Â I'd love to see more beers on tap and perhaps a sampler choice for beer, but that's just because I love samplers. Â Overall, RBG is an awesome place and I'll definitely be returning again and again despite the 40 min drive from my house!
I regularly go out for late happy hour with friends in Redmond, most often to Matador. But seeking a change, we went to Redmond's Bar and Grill last night. Ambiance is nice, the space available for larger groups is good. But we probably won't go back.
We arrived sometime between 9:45 and 9:50. Kill a bit of time; look at the drink and HH menu for awhile. Waitress checks on us, brings water, a bit of time goes by, she returns again. Since it was my first time there, I made sure to ask her opinion on the best items on the happy hour menu. After discussing with her I ordered the tempura dragon roll, as well as a bourbon/honey/lemonade cocktail.
Neither item was particularly good, the roll was scarfed down since I was starving but not something I would crave. A bit on the mushy, flavorless side. The cocktail was cloyingly sweet. I know the description included honey and lemonade, but the proportions of the sweet to the savory were way off; not what I was hoping for in a bourbon based drink.
We receive our checks, and the tempura roll is full price, $9 instead of the $5 happy hour price we were expecting. I asked the waitress about it, did we accidentally order before 10? "Let me check," she says. She returns, says, "The system shows it was put in at 9:54." and drops the check back onto our table, still with the full price on it.
What?
Now I know you have to be careful to order after happy hour specifically starts. I usually am, but I forgot to double check the clock this time. But remember, I had asked the waitress multiple questions about happy hour items before I ordered, so how could she not have known we were there for happy hour prices? How does 6 minutes equal $4 more on our bill?
It's a technicality, and I technically should have ordered after 10, and honestly $4 is not that much more money... but I like to feel like the restaurant I'm dining at is my gracious host, and this was not gracious, but frustrating. You got me, but just this once. Enjoy your $4, I hope it was worth losing two potential regulars. Back to Matador I go.
Big disappointment. I come here for happy house for the first time after some friends recommend this place.
My wife and I decide to get some food that's been marked down to $5 and a drink that's cheaper as well.
We get the sushi. I love sushi. This sushi was ok, if you like sushi fried. I guess the rule is everything is better fried? Not for me. Then the drink comes later. It was terrible. So sweet I couldn't take it.
But it's happy hour, I'll deal with it.
Then the check comes and everything is full priced. Huh?
I ask the waitress and its because we ordered a few minutes before the 10pm deadline.
Oh. Ok. So she chargers us full price? We told her we were here for the happy hour stuff. My watch said 10pm but I guess their clocks run slow to trap people for those few extra bucks.
Cheap. I'm going to Matador.
I like Redmonds. Â The service I recieved was excellent, all a very personable staff. Â But - I must say the food I had there was dissapointing. Â I had the "French Prime Dip", which was a fail. Â The amount of thinly sliced beef pieced on this was embarrasingly small, and none of it was "prime". Â One slice of thinly cut beef is not acceptable. Â I don't expect a cut of prime rib, but I do expect a reasonable amount of the main ingredient. Â It was just chincy. Â Just gear up the food to an acceptable level, and you would have a winner here.
Review Source:What an absolute gem. Went for happy hour today and was shocked at the great service, food and drinks. I will be back again and again. I thought Redmond was a loss for good food and service. I was wrong. Thank you. Also want to add that the Breakfast Buffet is AMAZING!!! I will be here every weekend for this. Fresh, delicious, cheap and fabulous. I love you guys!!
Review Source:My husband and I really like this place. Â We usually grab a seat at the bar unless we're with friends and then we'll wait it out for a table (would love more bar space btw). Â
We're happy with our burgers, sweet potato fries (with the cheese sauce!), and we're generally pretty happy with the service. Â And we appreciate that they serve local beer on tap (just because it is tasty, not because I'm some sort of pissy hipster that wants to know where the hops were grown)
Honestly, one of our favorite places in Redmond to grab a burger.
PS- I hate the dentist office across the street that always puts up the cones in from of the parking lot after 5pm- lame.
The service was great and the food was really good. We both had the burgers and fries. The sweet potato fries were the best I have ever had. The meat in the burger needed more seasoning, but it was super juicy. I love the pretzel buns. The waitress was super friendly and attentive. The bar tables could be a little larger. But all and all we will be back for sure. MUCH better than the RAM.
Review Source:From the outside this place looked like a 5 star establishment, inside, it was pretty much your neighborhood sports bar. Only a few booths to go around and most of the people sitting in them were just wasting time. We sat at a small hi-top table.
The service was on the slow side, but friendly. I had a burger and my girl had a salad. The garlic parmesan fries were amazing, but unfortunately they used small potatoes. I like a long fry I can pick up and nibble on, these fries were about the size of a cheetoe The burger itself was pretty good as well, but I was nickeled and dimed for bacon. I don't mind paying for bacon, but taking a single piece and breaking it in half, ain't bacon, that's a tease. Come on. You get at least pieces in a pound, Can a real man get at least two pieces?
My girlfriend had the cobb salad and this normally can't be please lady told me it could have been the best salad she ever had.
In the end it was a good meal, but we both agreed that the single stitch of bacon was the low point of out meal.
Good food and healthy portion, but the service and execution could be much better.
Came for happy hour at about 5:20 on Friday. Â Very busy, we had about a 10 minute wait, but we were able to grab spots at the bar. Â I had a pear blueberry cosmo and it was really, really good. Â We had a flat bread, bacon wrapped jalapenos, and spinach artichoke dip. Â I didn't try it, but we also had dragon sushi rolls. Â Everyone was happy with the food and the cost wasn't bad either. Â I wouldn't recommend bringing kids in around happy hour at least, it is crowded and loud. Â Parking is a bit of pain too. Â Their water was delicious and service was great.
Review Source:OMG, you guys! You have a great place here, why do you have to have the music up SO loud that the customers have to scream at each other to have a conversation...not to mention the poor servers.
It's not like this is a dance club, it is set up with booths and tables...great for conversation and pool tables, also nice to find. The music is great and loud is fine but this was WAY beyond loud. We even tried to move...no escaping. We persevered and stayed...could help but notice how early the customers cleared out so we must not be the only ones who found it intolerable.
It would be great to be frequent customers. I was told about Redmond's Bar and Grill as a place to have a few beers and play some pool. We were especially happy to find that in addition to being a nice looking, comfortable place, the food was also really good and the service was outstanding! Â
On another note, if I happened to look up at the wrong time, my view was directly at men standing at the urinal. Maybe it one table but it would also be anyone standing in the entry area. Super gross and easy to fix.
Please reconsider your business plan to have to music set to bleeding level.
I've been coming here for about 6 months now and it has turned into my favorite pub on the east side. The burgers on pretzel buns are amazing, the pastrami stack is also very good. The beer selection is average and the staff is very attentive and outgoing.
The only real downside is the parking, if you can find a spot this is the best bar/pub on the east side.
Met my boyfriend in Redmond to have dinner before Cirque du Soleil. We had an hour and a half before our show and we figured it was plenty of time to grab something to eat. Wrong. The first two places we went to had 40-45 minute wait times. Luckily we walked down the street and found Redmond Bar and Grill.
We got a table right away. Started with the tuna for an appetizer and then I ordered the filet, while my bf ordered the lamb shank. My meal was delicious, but the lamb was a little flavorless, but still ok.
The atmosphere was nice and clean. Lots of tv's in the bar so it would be a good place to go to watch a game. They also have two pool tables and an American Shuffleboard table! Someone got to the shuffleboard before us, but next time we'll definitely play a few games.
They also accept the prime card!
Nice place for a quick bit to eat. I'll be back.
decided to try this place after a heavy night of drinking. Â The interior has a nice layout and has a good vibe. Â They had about 1/2 the tables occupied and the people all seemed fairly happy. Â My gf decided to try a chicken burger and I went with the sliders. Â Both dishes were delicious, however given the time it took to make them, they had better been perfect. Â From everyone I've spoken to, apparently their food prep time needs some BIG improvements. Â The food itself was very delicious and I was so very happy that the slider meat patties weren't cooked to death. Â Overall, we'll go back and give it another try, but if the service is as slow as it was the first time, I'll complain to the manager and we won't be back.
Review Source:The tables in the bar area are apparently for people who put their names on the list -- not first come first served. Weird.
My buffalo chicken salad left a lot to be desired but I guess I shouldn't have had expectations of a burger joint's salads. The bleu burger on the other hand was pretty good and worth the price.
Had a fantastic time here, can't believe I haven't found it before. Did a Saturday lunch with wife+kid. Compared to every other bar in Redmond this place is great. Maybe even slightly better than the Black Raven because it has food.
Food was off the charts good (steak salad was unique), service was great. Beer was excellent.
The bad reviews here - I can see how it might turn in to a bit of a dive bar sometimes.
Been here a handful of times for drinks recently and it's not too shabby! The staff and bartenders are very friendly and seem to enjoy working there which shows through in the service. Pretty good selection of draft beers and house cocktails. The food is better then most of the bar food I've had in the area but I feel it's pretty over priced. $14 for a burger is a bit much for a lot of bun and bland meat. They have a couple of pool tables in the back as well as a shuffleboard table which is pretty unique for any establishment. I'm sure I'll be back for drinks again and I'm looking forward to trying the happy hour!
Review Source:We went back with some friends and I am sad to say it was not near as good.
The server wore an open back shirt that exposed a very lacy bra to an extreme which drew stares from all of the tables including those of kids. Â Crossed the line and we all commented on it to each other.
The burger took a good 30 minutes to come out and was well done, not the medium I had ordered. Â We had a few fries on the side, nothing like the amount last time. Â I had to ask for a side sauce 2 more times after my order so all in all it was a disappointment.
Kinda shocked there are so many positive reviews about this place.
Wife and I went here for the last half of the Seahawks game because the sports bar we were at didn't have their kitchen open yet and we couldn't hold out for food any longer.
After finding parking around the corner (there is only street parking available for this place) we went inside.
Overall, trying to shoehorn a sports bar experience into a standard bar and grill isn't the best idea as a patron. The place does its best to accommodate a football crowd with 5 TVs along the bar wall so you have to give them credit and there was a semi-lively crowd all doing just that.
Credit does not go to the three girls acting as wait staff. Had to suggest our own seating from a bewildered girl who didn't know where to put a two top. Had to ask after about 10 minutes if service was a possibility and then had to deal with the uncomfortable social faux pas of the server assuming the change for the meal was her tip. Overpaid the bill, never saw the server again. Not like I don't tip but, give me the option of finalizing the social norm.
Questionable service aside, the food was what looked attractive enough to bring us here from another place in the middle of a football game.
Unfortunately the food was mostly adequate.
Wife had a veggie burger, I had the breakfast buffet.
Per the wife, veggie burger was good, fighting bugs to eat it was bad.
old restaurant tip: move the used rag/napkin bin OUT of the doorway between the back house to front house. All the kitchen air pushes the ever present swarm of gnats that congregate around it directly out into the main dining area and into the faces of your customers seated around it. Not to be childish but...amateur hour. My wife had to take one of my used breakfast buffet plates and shove her remaining fries on it and offer them up as a sacrifice so she could eat her veggie burger bug free.
Breakfast bar was along the lines of what Best Western has to offer. Awesome for Best Western, sad for a place with a full kitchen. Plus...don't have the bus boy making the omelets. I noticed too late that in between making omelets he was dragging trash cans from the front to back house.
Gravy for the biscuits was cold and lacking spice. I was told potatoes would be part of it by the waitress, those never materialized and by the time I saw her again I was well over it. French toast had nothing to dress it up in. I'm sure there was butter and syrup at some point, but I couldn't locate it. In all fairness it might be because I was dodging misbehaved kids from stupid, inattentive parents.
A note to patrons:
Bar.
Not Denny's, not IHOP, not daycare...bar. You gave up the right to go here as a person when you, YOU, made the decision to have kids. Once that happened you gave up many things. Going to a bar to watch sports was one of those things. Please beware, if I run into your kids in the bar, they will have a VERY adult level experience. Ask the kids who got in my way while I was going to get another helping of cold breakfast bar food what 'get the f**k outta my way you little s**t' means and there's about three of them that will tell you it's an unpleasant experience.
There were no less than 6 at any given time while I was there. Half of them up out of their seats effing around.
In any case, slow/poor service, couple of instantly apparent health issues, food nothing special and a free for all for kids. Might just be the morning crowd on a football Sunday but if it's an indication of what it's like you couldn't pay me to go twice. Hell, I still have heartburn from it.
I didn't have high expectations for a place with such as generic name, but I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of items on the menu. I had the BLT sandwich, which was huge, and the veggies were very fresh and tasty. Their happy hour menu looked great, but it's too bad I don't live close by.
Review Source:Excellent!! My wife and I have decided that we've finally found a fun place to watch sports, have beer/drinks on the eastside. Â The food is excellent and the staff is always friendly and fun. Trivia nights are a blast.
Been back at least 20+ times since finding this place in October - never had a bad experience with food or staff. Fish tacos are incredible!
Decent food, so-so service. Our waitress was nice enough, but either she didn't relay my "dressing on the side" request to the kitchen, or they just ignored it because my salad came out with the dressing definitely ON the salad, not on the side. It was our server's last day, so I think she was a little distracted. My water glass was empty most of the night, which sucked.
The steak salad (sliced hanger steak on grilled romaine hearts with white balsamic basil dressing, feta, roasted tomatoes, and potatoes) was great, though I didn't think it needed the potatoes. Thankfully it didn't have much dressing on it, so I ended up happy.
They have trivia Tuesday nights called "Beat The Geek". The prizes aren't great: teams put together a "pot" that the winner gets in addition to the prizes - $25 gift  certificate for 1st place, other stuff for 2nd place, nothing for 3rd. Having done pub quiz for a few years in Seattle, I wasn't impressed by the prizes, but the guy who does the quiz is really cool and the questions are good.
I dropped something next to my chair and had to go back into the restaurant a few minutes after my table left. When I went back in, the servers were all smashing pies into each others faces, which was pretty awesome.
Overall I'd go back for the tasty steak salad, and hope that the service improves.
We just returned from our first visit to Redmond's Bar and Grill. Â We plan to return often.
I had the Pastrami Stack and my wife had the Turkey Club. Â Both came with an ample amount of the best fries we have had in years - hand cut, nicely seasoned and crispy.
Service was outstanding. Â Kimberly was our server until her shift ended and then Joey (the bartender) took over. Â Both were personable, friendly and helpful. Â We told Joey how much we liked the restaurant and he suggested that we write a Yelp review. Â Although I have used Yelp in the past, I never bothered to join but Joey provided me with a good reason to join and this is my first Yelp review.
The sandwiches were large and excellent - great bread, fillings and presentation.
The atmosphere is that of a quality sports bar. Â The restaurant appeared clean and we sat in a comfortable booth.
The only negative that I can think of is that on busy days in downtown Redmond parking could be an issue (we were fortunate to find a spot directly across the street).
We highly recommend Redmond's.
Brunch was great. Â Buffet with fresh omelettes; great staff and good coffee... this is from a somewhat finicky group of 5 adults and 3 kids =) Â I'll be back to try the benedict.
I've also eaten here solo twice for dinner and both times it was great (I had one of the specials both times).
Late on a Saturday, no wife, no dinner planned for home and the picky kid eaters are in tow. Â Sigh. Â Daughter springs up and says "I'm in the mood for a burger." Â Hmm, me too. Â We call up on our modern communicator and say Scotty, beem us some burger recommendations. Â Translation: I pulled up Yelp on the ol' iPhone.
We (read: lazy dad) didn't want to go far. Â I see the Redmond's Grill show up on the list. Â I scrub the reviews...hmm, this could work. Â Ah, the "bar and grill" title though...I go to the kids menu. Â Chicken strips: check, Mac and Cheese: check. Â Okay, this could work. Â Thing 2 only likes Mac and Cheese or grilled cheese. Â I decided to roll the dice.
We arrive and it isn't busy. Â Kids CLEARLY not the standard for this place, but what the heck, we were there. Â There is a huge bar with giant screens playing sports. Â The "bar" is really not a separate room/area but just divided by hi-tops and a sign saying no minors. Â My daughter was utterly confused as folks had beer on their tables. Â (We don't drink so she's always super-aware of these things...no we aren't judgmental :-)).
Thing 1 ordered the kid burgers with a side of fruit (what?!). Â Thing 2 went with the mac and cheese as previously predicted. Â I opted for the Redmond Burger + Cheese sauce and parmesan fries. Â
First the kids. Â Thing 1 loved her burgers. Â They were perfect size (I swear they were made with a Ronco burger maker machine). Â After eating two bites she declared "5" and I gave her a puzzled look until I realized she meant her Yelp rating. Â Our kids are very involved in helping us decide. Â Thing 2 was 2 bites into his mac and cheese and declared "4" at that moment.
My burger was big, perfectly cooked and on a pretzel bun. Â Yep, pretzel bun. Â I took one bite and was happy. Â This was a very well-cooked burger and the cheese sauce (not melted cheese) really made it great. Â I normally hate cheese on sandwiches/burgers, but our server said the sauce had cheese, cream, blah, blah...she had me at cream. Â The fries were ok. Â They were the real-potato-cut-like-fries type. Â The parmesan style was basically a mixture that was sprinkled on top. Â They were okay, but a little baked-potato-y rather than fries that I like. Â I wasn't enamored by them but if I return would attempt to order them well-done.
Thing 2 eventually wavered on his initial "4" declaration and said he didn't like it. Â He's massively picky and I had to bribe him to finish some. Â RECOMMENDATION: Add a simple grilled cheese sandwich to the menu. Â My son (Thing 2) actually likes the pretzel buns with cheese on them so I might ask next time just to do that for him.
Overall an enjoyable evening meal and a VERY friendly staff. Â I wouldn't say it is kid-friendly a lot as they seem to tailor to the sports-bar or older couples out for date night crowd. Â However, I will attempt to convince my wife to come back with me.
Someone looking for a burger in Redmond, I'd have no problem recommending this place.
Just got to redmond and looking for my first beer. I walked in and passed an asian hostess .. I smiled at her and she just gave me a blank stare, whatever.
Hit the bar, sat down.. the couple next to me were very friendly. Bartender came to give me a drink, even came me a sample of a beer I hadn't tried yet. I had the nachos.. they were okay, the cheese sauce was a good addition. Too many chips imho but they were still tasty.
Overall the place is a pretty cool dive, i'd hit it up again but I have much more exploring to do in redmond.
If anyone recommends a good craft beer place that has great drafts in town, please let me know and I'll meet you there!
My favorite happy hour bar. Food is fantastic, music isn't all stupid pop songs, and a large beer selection. Also they have events happening every night. Thursday nights are the best when the band is there and taco tuesdays are amazing, I mean come on 2$ tacos and 3$ fish tacos! Also the service is great, everyone is really friendly and very quick with your orders.
The only bad part is that pool tables are poorly placed so they really end up getting in the way of each other and the staff going back and forth from the kitchen.
Best burger I've had in a loooong time! Plus anything on a pretzel bun is bound to be amazing! Everything is generously portioned. Try the Poppers with goat cheese, they're incredible! The white balsamic vinaigrette is like nothing I've tasted before, light and tasty on a crisp salad. Did I mention I love this place? They also have a great selection of beer and wine.
For more bang for your buck go during Happy hour, and stay for dinner!
I've been here twice and this has been my go to place for the after hike burger. So far this has been the best burger I've had on the eastside. The inside feels very tavern. Lots of exposed wood. Wood tables. If you're looking for a tavern sort of place for pub grub this is it
Other amenities:
They have a full bar. Towards the back there's the entertainment sort of area. Pool table, Jukebox (which plays a very random mix), and I think there's even a shuffleboard floor back there. It's very separated from the main restaurant area, so if you're not looking to be bothered by that sort of thing you won't have to worry.
I've always had great service there, even when they have folks on training. It's never been slow, and they've always been friendly. They have a decent beer selection. Guiness on tap, and lately Black Raven's Second Sight as well as your beers every bar has.
Much better than the last place "Good fellows". Â They have updated the joint and it works it's cozy Food is inconsistent, but like I said it is a huge improvement.
House Salad dressing is super tasty.
Fries are good.
Grilled chick sandwich is a good choice.
Burger is a good size and my daughter loves it.
Love the full bar and TVs are great as you can see them from all the tables.
Pool table is a fun addition.
my husband has had the French dip and he liked it.
Very disappointed. Â Their "Signature" Clam Chowder tastes very bland, and something is definitely missing, also served lukewarm.
We also witnessed a bartender cleaning several empty bottles of whiskey with water and filling. Â It looked unsanitary and don't know what he was filling with.
We try to support local business but not this one.
Microsoft Prime 2012-2013
Solid choice

Located in the heart of Redmond, Redmond's bar and grille is in your typical local hang out/bar/eatery. It comes with a generous selection of beers, a full bar, and your typical selection of sandwiches, meats, and bar fare. There's multiple flat screen TV's (each on a different sporting event), and a pool table/juke box at the end. The place is not very big, though pretty nice. We had chicken wings, hummus, and nachos, along with a couple beers; all on happy hour, though the prime deal here is 2:1. Everything was okay, as expected.
Closest place I could find with a TV and had a daily groupon deal.
Read some good reviews about this place from fellow yelpers. So gave it a go.
Sat at the bar the bartender was nice and attentive. Even made sure the game we wanted to watch was on the TV in front of us.
Used the 2 burgers and 2 beers deal with some co-workers. I got the Redmond burger with a side salad. I ordered it medium but it looked med-rare to raw. Â I didn't say anything and just ate around it... I should have said something but. Â
The Beer selection was good because it had my fav Mannys. I'll give it another go to see if things are better. Just remember to order your burgers med-well to well done...
This place is really nice!
Their happy hour menu is great, but I don't recommend their tempura roll. (Their American fare is much better).
Bartenders here are always so nice and serve really good  (stiff) drinks.
Also, love the ambiance and vibe of this place. It is rather trendy and welcoming.
