Being a Stern fan, I was excited to check out Rick's. Shame on you for leading me astray Ronnie "Rick's Man" Mund...this place is nasty. It's been a while since I was in a club where smoking was allowed. Again, nasty.
I did meet one young lady who made the visit all worth while. She would easily get 5 stars if I were reviewing her, but I'm not.
The bottle service scam is ridiculous. You pay $12 to get in and then another $20 to sit at a table near the stage? I guess they saw me coming this time...they'll never see me again.
Haven't bought a dance here ever...so i cant really attest to the quality of the scenery.
Ive played hold'em every time...its a lot of fun, expensive but fun. Buy a couple drinks, listen to shortened songs, and admire a beautiful lady or two.
Weekend security gives a full service pat down at the doors...happy ending is extra....
Not a bad locale.
Foood has been reported as fantastic, coming from regulars and not dancers.
I have been going to a lot of the Gentlemen Clubs around the Austin/Round Rock area and found that Rick's Cabaret is the best. I say this because they have a reasonable cover charge, and a friendly atmosphere. I have been to a lot of the clubs and I still have yet to see a Manager greet me at the door welcoming me inside, as I did at Rick's. I also had several beautiful waitresses take care of me and they had a few dozen beautiful women to keep me company.
Some of the earlier posts spoke about ugly women? Either they work for the competition or they didnt see the girls I did over the last week. There were a lot of gorgeous girls from different parts of Texas, and none were ugly. Heck, when I left a couple nights ago, they placed me in this unbelievable black Dodge Charger that shuttled me home. Talk about going home in style.
This place is worth it and then some! I am a die hard fan now.
BLAH... barf... when you go to a Gentlemen's Club on a Friday night it would be nice to be surrounded by "Beautiful" women.. I know this sounds bad but every gal in there was either flat chested or "chubby"... thank god i used the coupons for a free cover. Drink prices were in line with the rest of the clubs but the talent was BAD.... i wont stray from Perfect 10 again.. that's where it's at!
Review Source:Fridays...TGIF at Rick's...you know why? Â Because a $3 cover gets you a prime rib "buffet" with mashed potatoes, gravy, au jus, green beans, fresh greens, from 11-3pm. Â The side entertainment was ...side entertainment, but I don't frequent enough clubs likes this to know how the women are supposed to look/dance/dress. Â Some were def more fun to watch while other dancers allowed me to enjoy my meal and watch the Olympics. Â But seriously, for 3 bucks, it was hella good. Â The down side: no free water? I have to buy a bottle of water, in order to also order tap water? Â Probably for my own benefit, huh? Â Also, cocktail waitresses there are like vultures, but I suppose that happens at any place where cocktails don't have a section. Â Also, probably a good idea to bring comes shades for the way out...not for anonymity but so you don't burn your retinas and, or feel like a crackhead on the way out from $3 prime rib lunch...
Review Source:I will give a neutral review even though I was disappointed. Â I went with someone and before we sat down with our drink, we spent $51 (I like to get comfy before I spend over $50). Â This was on: Valet, cover charge and a drink for me and my husband. Â
I do not mind paying $8-9 for a Long Island Iced Tea. Â There is a reason they are expensive and I love them. Â I ordered one and was handed a 6oz tumbler full of ice and little alcohol. Â The drink was so weak that I thought that I was drinking coke and seltzer water for a moment. Â The only drink that had a decent amount of alcohol was the Jack and Coke. Â The drinks were all weak and I couldn't even get a buzz. Â I do not mind paying for expensive drinks if they actually put alcohol in them.
Now to the women: Â The women were pretty-but they all looked the same!!! Â Blond, skinny (like a 12 year old boy) and college co-ed cute. Â There is nothing wrong with this except for the fact that a club that specializes in this genre of entertainment must consider that not everyone finds the same thing beautiful. Â There was not enough diversity. Â Just because we like to exercize and be healthy in Austin, it doesn't mean we want to see only skinny runner types on-stage.
I wouldn't be surprised if the manager read these reviews about the "saggy" and "flabby" bodies and tried to fix it. Â I only saw two dancers out of thirty who were more curvaceous. Â I spoke to a dancer and she told me that the manager told her to loose ten lbs. Â She did not have any cellulite. Â She had a figure like Shakira...If Shakira or Beyonce are "fat" then a lot of men love fat women so it's OK to eat some food and jiggle a little if it jiggles in the right spot. Â
The dancers were nice and did not act stuck-up. Â The place was classy with great seating. Â I believe that I might try it one more time to see if this was just a fluke, but I will probably bring a flask so that I can actually taste the alcohol in my drinks.
Ricks sucks, the girls there are mostly single mothers with c-section scars and saggy tits.
Not really something I want near me. The place has these outdated neon lights outside. The minute you walk in the waiter hounds you to buy drinks. I usually get some drinks but I dont like to feel like I need to buy right away.
I hear people complain about drinks being expensive??(if you dont have money then dont go to a strip club) I hate going to strip clubs and a lot of cheap people with their friends are socializing. Go to a regular bar. If you dont have at least $80 to spend you dont belong at any strip club.
They should hold $100 bill in order to get in (to prove you have the money) and then make you open a tab with it and the least amount you can spend out of $100 is $80( on dances/drinks). that would weed out cheap people.
Bottom line this place needs better women and less c -section scars and wrinkly stomachs.
Let's face it. Strip clubs can either be really fun, or really sad- the choice is all yours.
My recipe for a good strip club night:
1. Bring four friends. No less than four (it can get kinda awkward), no more than 8 (it can get outta hand). A group of six is about perfect. And make sure they're funny, non-superchristian, non-pantcreamers, and open minded.
2. Drink before you go to the club. Strip clubs are expensive. A well at Joy will set you back $5.50... and you have to tip. So don't go too early and spend all that money on booze- you gotta save it for the dances.
3. You MUST get a dance. Dances are great. Just great. They're hot, embarrassing, and hilarious. If you can't get the nerve or money to get a dance... At least go up to the stage and get a mini-dance.
4. Be nice to the girls because they will be nice to you.
5. Relax and HAVE FUN! Don't be one of those blank faced creeps that just stare and drink... have fun, get a dance, chit chat and see some tits.
So on to the review... Joy is great. Now, I've only been to two other clubs before, and this one was the classiest. The building is nice, the servers are nice, the girls are nice. Most of the girls are implant free... I'm not sure if it's appropriate to review tits on yelp, but these girls have some nice, real tits. Dances are $10. $2 steak and fries- would have got it, but the kitchen closes at 12.
Hmm, what else can I say? Comfy, leather chairs, big and open- you're not crammed in a room with a bunch of people. Big stage. My only complaint is the second stage is a little too small- they should make it bigger or have a third stage too. Good dancers. Will go again.
That's another thing for a good strip club experience... Don't go too often- once a year is about right. It gives you enough time to forget about how fun it is and be pleasantly surprised the next time.
