When my soul sistahs and I decided to have a "girls day out" on Whidbey Island, I immediately logged onto Yelp to see what restaurants we should try. I found the "Roaming Radish" and asked my soul sistah if she's eaten there yet. She is a Langley local soul sistah and she exclaimed "Ooooh I love that place! It's my favorite!"

The day of our trip, she took us to Roaming Radish. We ordered our lunch to go so we could have a picnic at the beach. We got to the beach, unloaded our food and she was so disappointed that they accidentally gave us the meatloaf sandwich instead of the Reuben that she ordered.

Oh! My! God! The meatloaf sandwich was heavenly! to die for! So much flavor packed into the sandwich. There was no mistake about it - we were meant to eat this sandwich and I can't wait to go back to the island to score me another!

We shared a veggie wrap too and it was very good. But not as memorable as that meatloaf sandwich!

The vanilla cupcake was so divine! The next time we visit the island, we are calling in to the restaurant to save us a few so they don't sell out before we get there!

I am so happy that there is an establishment such as this, that emphasizes local, organic and sustainable foods. Please support the Roaming Radish. In my opinion, the prices of the food is very reasonable especially knowing that you are getting quality food with lots of love and integrity put into it.

Wow!  If you haven't tried the "Roaming Radish" you've got to check it out!  Jess and JP are turning Freeland into the "Taste of the Town"!
Great flavors, all organic everything ~ local grass fed meats, and if you're vegan or gluten free ~ the "Roaming Radish" is your kind of place!  Just what Whidbey Island needs!  Everything's so "tasty"!  From "Breakfast Wraps, to Afternoon Specials, Kale and Nettle Soup"..and Page meets you when you come in ~ "Hospitality" that invites you back in "soon again"!  "Roaming Radish" is no "ordinary dining"!   Mmmmm, can't wait to see what the specials will be tomorrow!

Roaming Radish = Magical!!  A very interesting thing happens as I watch customers step through the threshold at the Roaming Radish:  it seems like they are magically transformed.  I wonder if it's because of the ambiance (love the cozy fireplace!), the good energy of the hosts, or the delectable food.  My guess is all of the above.  On my first visit to Roaming Radish, I personally loved the fact that I was greeted by the most charming little, shy, well-mannered, black miniature greyhound!  My first thought was, "Oh this is awesome, I'm definitely coming back here!", but that's not the only reason I felt so at home and keep going back.  Whidbey Island (if not the world) has been waiting for a place like Roaming Radish!!  Not only are the people there welcoming and fun-loving (you're treated like family when you walk in), the food is full of INTEGRITY, and you can taste the good ju-jus and culinary expertise that go into every dish.  Every time I go there, I hear them whistling while preparing my meal, and it is clear they are having fun and loving what they do (I'm convinced this transfers into the nourishing energy of the food).  The menu is very creative, and the food is organic, local and of the highest quality (by the way, I am a nutritional therapist with a culinary background so I have very high standards when it comes to food!).  I'm surprised how reasonable the prices are, considering what you are getting.  Usually, I have to take half my meal home because the portions are generous, so I get two meals for the price of one.  Last night, I had an amazingly-prepared, huge portion of grass-fed beef ribs with beet and potato mash, greens and beautiful blood oranges during tapas happy hour for what I thought was a steal!  Most restaurant establishments cut corners (i.e. cut quality) to save costs, but at Roaming Radish, they seem to be more concerned about delighting customers.  Thank you, Roaming Radish, for consistent, unparalleled quality and service!  I love your attention to detail. You are making the world a better place, one meatloaf Reuben (yum!!) at a time.
