Robles Mexican Restaurant

Went here with my family on First Monday weekend. They were fairly busy, but we were seated in about 10 minutes. I've only been here once before, but I don't remember their prices being so high. A chicken dinner that probably wouldn't have been more than $11 at other places, was $15 here. I decided to get the chicken fajita salad. Iceberg lettuce and a fair amount of chicken, but the pico de gallo that was supposed to be on there was practically non-existent. Nine dollars for some lettuce and chicken is ridiculous. We were all kind of wondering if they have a different menu with higher prices for First Monday weekends. This definitely won't be somewhere I will be going back to.

We were in town this past weekend to attend the National Dutch Oven Gathering and decided to have some TexMex before we packed up and headed home. Out 1st choice was closed, they're only open on Sundays during "First Mondays". We decided to give Robles a try. It wasn't bad, in fact some of the dishes we tried were quite good. My sister and wife both said the fajita chicken was some of the best they've every had.

The chips were not greasy and crisp. The hot sauce could have used a punch! Service during our visit was spotty at best. Many times, our glasses were empty and took a while before they were filled.

Overall the experience was OK, but that is all.

Excellent portions and price. Service is great. Food is very tasty.
