  Roc Bar is located in the Crab Cake Factory strip mall on the corner of Beach Blvd and Penman Road.  The place is unassuming as you drive by, but walk in and you know you are in a bar.  While they cater to the younger crowd so it probably won't be a place I would pick to go for a weekend night.  College night is Wednesday, so you won't find me there then either.  
  
  Blue Monday is my night!  Blue Monday was a popular thing in the mid-1980s hosted by Mike Shackelford and his band at Pier 7, (ooohhh, brings back memories!) which is now the Ocean Club location. This is when all the local musicians get together for a jam session.  Starts at 8:30pm and there is no cover charge.  You don't know who is showing up and what they are going to feel like playing.  
  The beaches hasn't had something like this in a while and it is about time!  Hooray to you, Roc Bar.  Us older locals  remembered it and missed it.
