Over all the food was fine. The Sashimi was odd because it was a thick slab of fish rather than multiple thin slices but I think they do this to keep their pricing simple.   They price sushi and sashimi one pieces the same.  The sushi role... Spicy Red Rose was EXCELLENT. although it was weird how they had these little pieces of tuna on top like they were added after the role was cut.
So what was most frustrating was having to hunt the place down because GPS sends you over to Pier 1.  THey don't have any of their own on line presence so it is amazing that as many know about this place....it is next door to Publix but even the cashiers at publix didn't know it was next door.  I had driven around for 10 min looking for it when i almost settled for publix pre packaged sushi, couldn't stomach that preserved petrified substitute for raw fish, asked for directions, they sent me to the other side of the highway by Staples.   Tried a different GPS and finally found it.  But then had to wait to order, then wait to get the food.... all in about a 30 min process (not counting the driving around looking time).   BUT had they had a website, I could have been given a hint....next door to publix, could have called in my order, and picked it up.  easy peasy.
Also when getting to go orders, don't take it for granted that they give you soy sauce.   Got one cup with less than what would have been in an actual package in it.   Usually they just toss in plastic packages of soy sauce, not this place.
ODD indeed.   But many people seem to like it and the sushi / sashimi wasn't bad.  Lots of traffic people eating in and picking up that must have been before since they knew what to order ahead.
I'll go again but only because they are the only option in about a 3 mile radius.

I've been craving sushi lately and I needed to get my fix. After my attempt to pick some up at Fuji Sushi (on Baymeadows) when I was headed home from the office - forgot my plastic money - I made a quick run to Sushi Palace since it was going to be on the path of another errand.

I didn't want anything too heavy but needed something to hold me over until my planned late dinner: shrimp tempura roll & spicy tuna with avocado would easily fit the bill. Called my order in and I was on my way. Wish this place was here when I worked at Publix many moons ago. Of course, that means my whole minimum wage paycheck would have been spent on sushi because I would have been here every day for lunch.

It's nothing special; there are better places in town. But it's not the worst I've seen either. Just what I expected it to be and it fit the bill for what I needed. I'll have to remember this place the next time I'm itching to get out of the house for a bit.

I am Japanese . I had a pork katsu when I drove to Jacksonville.
Katsu was not so bad! I challenged it, fortunately it's fine for me, fried rice also is good taste.
