Don't let the location or the building deter you, Roca Bar serves some of the best pizza in the area! Â First of all, the restaurant and the decor are nothing special, I don't think much has changed in the past 20 or so years I've been eating here. Â Start off your meal with their Italian Salad, it is amazing. Â A small can feed several people-the bowl comes filled with lettuce, pepperoni, ham, cheese, egg, green olives, etc. and is drenched in their house dressing. Â My favorite salad anywhere by far! The pizza is great too, the crust is super thin and very crispy, and they load it up with toppings. Â It can get pretty busy on the weekends, so you may want to make a reservation.
Review Source:By Evansville standards, this place is as good as it gets. The salad is great. The sausage is great. The atmosphere in the place is great.
If you are looking for a thick crust, you won't care for the place. But if you love the thin crisp crust, it gets no better than Roca Bar in Evansville.
I can't believe "The Rock" only has one review! Â A gastronomic landmark in E'ville that still has a bit of the 1960's ambiance. They have a very tasty, big house salad that sets the stage for an incredible pizza and prices that make you look twice to see if it's maybe just a half order... Â Everybody has a different 'favorite' pizza, and this may not be yours especially if you like thick crust! Â The Rock specializes in CRISPY thin. Â I've had 'the best' pizza in virtually every state in America and the humble 'lil Rock stands up to any of them!
