This place is a cute little shop right downtown in Greenfield. When you walk in there is a coffee bar with a display case at which you order. They offer sandwiches, soups, wraps, and salads. I went with a chicken and bacon wrap. I asked for an iced tea, but they were out. It's summer, a cafe shouldn't be out of iced tea on a Sunday afternoon around 1pm. Not wanting anything hot to drink, I then opted for a pop. Upon paying for my meal, I wasn't given a receipt. Normally that wouldn't be a big deal, but I'm in town for work and get reimbursed for my meals if I have a receipt. This really seemed to confuse the kid working behind the counter. He ended up writing out a receipt by hand, which I hope my work will accept.
Anyways, I go to sit down, enjoy my book for a bit while waiting for my food. This gave me the time to look around the place. The ceiling were nice and high and it seems recently remodeled (or new, I don't know how long this place has been there). I sat on a comfy leather couch that was on a raised platform under a nifty light fixture. There were children's books piled in the corner, making me think this may be a place that mom's with toddlers visit. There was a back area where I think you can paint your own pottery or do scrapbooking, or something like that, but I didn't venture into that area.
It took about 15 min for my food to come out, which wouldn't have been bad if it were busy, but there wasn't any one else having food or drinks made at the time I was there. The food was mediocre. The wrap came with chips and a pickle. The chips tasted like wavy lays and the pickle seemed of the limp grocery store jar variety. The wrap itself was warm with nice chunks of chicken in it, but that was about all that was good about it. From the discription on the menu I expected chopped up bits of bacon mixed in. What I got was one piece of bacon laying across the middle of the wrap. The wrap was cut in half and wasn't filled very much, it was maybe a half inch thick. Overall it was a very underwhelming experience.
