Roosevelt's At 7

Awesome place to go with friends, and believe it or not they have outstanding plates on their menu, just don't get a salad.

So, like I love to do when I travel I look for places to try while I am there. Small places, neighborhood places, and original places.

This qualifies as all of the above.

Roosevelt's manages to take really good food and beer and bring it to a relaxed atmosphere so you don't feel like you're in yuppie hell.

One of the dishes we ordered was bacon wrapped shrimps wrapped in large shrimp. The reduction that was drizzled over it just made it complete..fantastic!

The best thing  they had, possibly one of the best I have tried was their asparagus. OMG. Fresh large asparagus wrapped in salt cured prosciutto covered in goat cheese. Even the cherry tomatoes on the side were stuffed. No words can adequately describe them.

So if you're ever in McAllen, TX (god forbid) give this place a try you will not be disappointed.

Like beer. Come here. You can smoke outside. No hard liquor. Only place I don't feel like the valley sucks. Good decoration and atmosphere and they have food! If you live in McAllen and like beer and wine, come here.
