Amazing. Extremely friendly and very quick with the cocktails: Pencillins, negroni's, and fernet. Jeff, you're awesome. Thanks for the hospitality, you made us feel at home.

well... nice decor BUT they took both half drunk drinks away when I went to the bathroom. Super college vibe. won't be back, go to Local if you want real service.

Tonight I went to The Rose with a friend of mine, and since he was trying to get sober I was the one getting drunk.

Here's the thing. I thought it would be nice to buy drinks for the two girls sitting across the bar from us. So I did, against the warnings of my friend and the waitress, Jesse. Well, the girls didn't even look our way. Seriously. Not even a look. I felt like an idiot, and left as quickly as possible, in absolute drunken embarrassment.

In my sloppy rush, I signed the check without tipping the waitress, and without bringing my backpack that had valuable items within it. Once I got home, I realized my mistake.

I called the number for The Rose several times, and once I FINALLY got through, despite me not tipping her, Jesse helped get my backpack to safety and promised me that it would be there tomorrow for me to pick up.

I owe Jesse better than she got, and tomorrow I'm going to make sure she gets the tip she deserved, and then some. The bar itself is good, the drinks are good, but Jesse saved my damn life, even though I crapped on her by not tipping her.

I will never make the mistakes I made tonight again, and I will never forget the kindness showed to me. Jesse is a life saver, and deserves a better customer than me.

Thank you Jesse. I wish I wasn't such an idiot. You're amazing.
