Been here a few times now in the last 6 months. It's a great place for beer and burgers and sandwiches/soups. There is a better selection of beers than some other local spots and the food is much better as well. Service and prices are good too, no issues at all. Great location, can't wait for it to get warm out again to sit outside.
Review Source:This is a great place to get away from the younger crowd of ditos or the biker boys of diamond jims. Has plenty of TV's to watch your favorite sporting events and has a small patio to enjoy a pint on a beautiful day. Â You would really have to nitpick to find a reason not to enjoy your experience at Rosie's. Â My favorite food items are the ribs and prime rib. Â Both are oustanding choices. Â The friday fish fry is also great but get there before the dinner rush. Â It can get crowded. Â I have never had an issue with service so far. Â The bartenders really make an effort to make sure you time there is enjoyable. Â I'll keep coming back.
Review Source:Went on a Sunday a few weeks back for their rib special. Â Half rack of ribs and two sides for around $8.00; the price cannot be beat ... sadly, the service can. Â We sat down and waited 10-15 min. just for a drink order! Â Rosie's on a Sunday afternoon consists of mostly locals/regulars. Â The bartenders/servers were more interesting in arguing with the regulars than serving our group. Â Sadly to say, I won't go back ... Oh yeah, the food ... it was average at best, really nothing to write home about.
Review Source:A hidden Gem in Dundee. I had heard about this place a few months ago from my Aunt and kinda forgot about it until a friend of mine was coming in town and we wanted to get some food and drinks. Rosie's isnt to far from my house so we thought we would try. It was a Thursday and the parking lot was PACKED, we soon found out they do trivia on Thursday night...and our bartender Stephanie said it's pretty serious.(note to self, come back to try trivia) Rosie's is a cute little house turned into a bar that has a pretty big selection of beers. I asked if they had any cider beers....she brought out 6 different bottles of cider for me to look at and see which one i wanted. I thought that was super nice of her. I tried the blackberry pear cider and the pear. The blackberry one was REALLY GOOD, not to sweet where the pear was a little to sweet for me. Unfortunetly I only tried two cause I had work on Friday....The life of an adult. I will for sure be coming back to try the other ciders they had!! For dinner I ordered the chicken fingers with a side of buffalo sauce and tator tots.....you read that right...tator tots....I was WAY excited!! The chicken was really good and seasoned, not dried out. The tator tots were awesome...of course.
The prices were super cheap too. The chicken fingers cost 5.95 and my huge basket of tator tots only cost 2.00....cant beat that!!!
Cant wait to come back for trivia and more cider beers!!
I went to Rosies last night, and I have to say after witnessing the bartender, on several occasions, lean over the bar and start making out with a girl (who was all over another guy about 20 minutes prior) so drunk she couldn't talk coherently, could barely hold her head up, and was falling a sleep at the bar, I don't know if I want to go back. Â My friends and I were totally disgusted. Â Rosies was our go to bar, but if skeezy guys like that work there, no thanks.
Review Source:This is your local watering hole in East Dundee. The food is good and the waitstaff is great. It is like walking into Cheers where everyone knows your name.
Ben the Bartender is the best in the area and always makes you feel at home.
When I want good bar food and to kick back Rosie's in my home!
If I could give zero stars I would. Â I thought hey it is an Irish Pub get the Reuben. Â I thought somebody poored salt all over the meat. Â The fries were coated with salt. Â Every bite was justs filled with salt and horrible. Â Very limited menu and my wife had the grilled cheese which she said was salty as well.
The good is you get a great view of the Fox River from the pub and the pub itself is pretty cool looking. Â Just do not eat the food here. Â Go to Daimond Jim's afew blocks away.

The food is getting a little better since the new owners took over. Â The fish fry still needs some work. Â I have yet to try the ribs, but since they have a smoker out back they might be worth a taste. Â The burgers are not too bad.
The new owners are great, and it is a nice place to just have a drink right by the Fox River. Â They even allow dogs out front. Â We like to walk our dog down there a have a couple of drinks. Â They even bring a bowl of water and dog treats.
Again, better but still need to work on the fish fry.
Located on a secluded street just off Route 72, Rosie O'Hare's offers a great view of the Fox River and West Dundee's modest downtown. Â There's outdoor seating in the front of the building, which during the summer has to be a prime location. Â The inside is nice enough, but similar to most pubs of this variety. Â However, something setting Rosie's apart is that it is probably the only place of its kind in this area to serve Chimay on draft, which even at $9/glass was something I jumped on. Â The staff is friendly and the crowd is a typical suburban pub crowd-- with maybe a bit more of an edge than usual. Â This is definitely a place where I could waste a warm summer afternoon.
