I almost forgot I was eating take out. This food is worthy of a challenge to your moms cooking. The chicken is very good. if you get the family meals you will need additional sides to properly feed more than 3 people

My older, adult son invited me to join him for dinner at La Casa del Pollo Asado.  My younger, adult son joined us.  Each of the three of us is a self-proclaimed connoisseur of Mexican cuisine.  Anyway, we know our way around the cocina.

Who doesn't like grilled chicken and/or steaks?  The House of Grilled Chicken will traject your tastebuds lightyears from backyard grilling.  It's all in the preparation, seasoning, and the Scrumptious Sauce & Scallions that provoke your taste buds to scream for more while your stomach "yelps" back "Take it home - no more freak'n room down here!".

I've been eating beans and rice all my life.  With all respect to my late mother's beans these frijoles are a very close 2nd and the fluffy Mexican rice is a tantalizing accompaniment.

The guacamole is of perfect taste and consistency.  Do you like salsa?  Nothing like the variety of Salsa selection that they offer here.  Checkout the Salsa bar once you pickup your meal.

It's a fun place, but the atmosphere is not fancy or memorable with Mariachi music in the background.  La Casa Del Pollo Asado is a self-service, clean restaurant with a very friendly and courteous staff.  They have been in business for over two years.  Plenty of parking in the open, free parking lot about 40 yds away.

    Disfrute de su fiesta.

My girlfriend's sister brought takeout from La Casa del Pollo Asado for dinner one night, and we were stuffed and satisfied. She brought us LCdPA again, and we were hooked! The chicken is absolutely delicious and juicy, and the sides are also very good. They serve their chicken in four sizes: 1 1/2, whole, half, or quarter. You can get either the grilled chicken (asado) or the BBQ (en salsa barbeque). We've gotten the grilled chicken, which is bursting with flavor (especially since the skin is left on) and is accented well by the grilled green onions and jalapenos that come with.

I recommend picking up a "Family Order." That comes with either 1 grilled or BBQ chicken, which is cut up into 8 pieces or 1 1/2 grilled or BBQ chicken, which is cut up into 12 pieces, plus your choice of three sides. The beans are excellent, although they are not what you might think of when you think of Mexican-style beans. These beans come with more broth and have pieces of bacon floating around in all that brothy goodness. I don't even like beans, and I found myself gobbling these up. We also get the rice and the chips / guacamole, which are both very good. There's also a salsa station where you can pick from an array of sauces.

The prices are very reasonable and the food is great. For $15-$20, you get a delicious, well-balanced and fairly large meal. You can't beat that! So skip that KFC or Popeye's family meal and head over to La Casa del Pollo Asado! (I understand that LCdPA and KFC / Popeye's serve different kinds of chicken, but with the family meals you're essentially getting the same thing: chicken + sides).
