Tilted Kilt Pub & Eatery

I heard mixed reviews about Tilted Kilt and always wanted to try it out. The fact that they have popped up all over made it pretty easy.  When the Elgin location offered a Groupon deal, I had to go!

It was an overall disappointment from start to finish.  The food was not that great, the service sucked, and the girls who were supposed to be eye candy (isn't that the premise of Tilted Kilt) were not attractive at all.  I would have paid a majority of the girls to put more clothes on.

I had Irish Nachos for an appetizer which were potato chips with ground beef and nacho cheese on top... very healthy :).  I also had a purple drink... I think it was called a Purple Haze, but maybe I am just thinking of the beer by the same name?  That was really good.

For my meal, I got the fish and chips which the waitress talked up as being amazing.  It was just okay.  Three tiny fish stick sized strips on top of a mound of fries.

Overall, Tilted Kilt was a huge disappointment and I will not be back.

I came here to have some drinks with my cousin. Okay, I see what the hype is about. The building from the outside made it look like it was 3 stories high. Inside it was one. The girls were young and risque. The bar was like a sophisticated Hooter's. It was more of a sports bar. Next time I'm going to have to come in here for the food. Our bartender was nice and attentive.

Service: Pretty lack-luster.  Our waitress was still figuring it out, I think.  When we went the kitchen was really backed up and we all got our food at different times.  And it took forever!  And it wasn't anything too complicated.

Food: Decent. I had a salad and tried a few wings.  The wings had good flavor, but there was not much meat on them.  

Attire: I wasn't a huge fan, it just made me uncomfortable, but I can't really complain about that because well, that's what they are known for.  It's a breastaurant.

I think I probably won't make a visit back.  It's just not my jam. I can see how it could be a fun place to go for a bachelor party, or something.
